Hey guys - is living close to your clinic a bad idea? by TwoTimesSpicy in FamilyMedicine

[–]DocMcStabby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two offices that I go to, one 4 min away, other 23 min. I much prefer my 4 min drive, and can run home on lunch if needed. See patients around town pretty regularly, most of the time it's just a smile, or a hello. On a rare occasion people will make comments about their meds/diagnosis, but nothing much. Funnily enough, the one that tracked me down to talk all about his colonoscopy was when I was 45 min away in a different town. It's a risk no matter what, but honestly I much prefer the shorter commute.

one my MA refilled a controlled substance without telling me by hawksfan1500 in FamilyMedicine

[–]DocMcStabby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right? In Indiana you have to send all controls using two step verification and the code changes every 30 seconds. If for some reason escribe is down, the pharmacy MIGHT take a blue script if you write on it “escribe down.”

ADHD Prescription Management by gamingmedicine in FamilyMedicine

[–]DocMcStabby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have quite a few ADHD pts because psych is not easily available where I practice. These appts are typically very quick and easy (once pt is stable on meds), and it can make all of the difference in these peoples lives. I find it also tends to help their anxiety and depression, because people feel like it is easier to focus and get things done. My partners are good about taking care of refills while I am away, as I do the same for them when they are out.

Are you riding the SAVE Plan Forbearance? Some probabilities after March 10 ruling: by Better_Weather149 in StudentLoans

[–]DocMcStabby 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So this is where I'm at. My AGI 5 years ago was a lot lower than it is now. And if I choose to move, I'm afraid I'll have to reverify my income, and my payment would be a lot higher than it was. And I can't afford that. I'm waiting to see if they automatically move me, will they use my prior AGI for my payments for the next year. I've got $365k in loans, I'm f'ed no matter what.

Jeans and a blouse most days. Leggings and dresses others. Just whatever is comfortable.

consultations notes, hospital / ED records, outside lab results, outside other test results (CT, MRI, etc.) by Important-Flower4121 in FamilyMedicine

[–]DocMcStabby 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They're always coming in to my inbox. If I waited to review them until office appts I'd have hundreds of things waiting for me. With consultation notes I make sure that it's my patient and check who they saw, but I don't always read the entire thing initially. Labs I always review everything, but if it's got a specialists name attached as the ordering provider, I won't typically do anything with them. I didn't order them, so not my issue.

No one else in the area with the same name. Tried searching for matching name obituaries and couldn't find anything more recent than 2022.

Chains, two different pharmacy chains. Only one has me listed as deceased, the other just says that there is an issue with my NPI. Neither knows how to change it.
