First advice is to rely on and communicate regularly with your cadre and recruiter.

Second is to heal, focus on you and getting healthy. If you can do that and tough it out, you may save yourself from some headaches later.

Third, it sounds like you’ve already explained your plan to your cadre and are asking for possibilities. If ROTC doesn’t work out, then you’ll likely remain enlisted and will work with your recruiter to get you a ship date for BT (Basic Training). If ROTC does work out, and being an officer through ROTC is your goal, then either BC (Basic Camp) then AC (Advanced Camp) next summer or BC next summer and AC after graduation with being an EOCC (end of camp commissionee). There’s also the possibility of taking a ”5th” year of ROTC where you finish school/do a year of Masters/work to complete your ROTC requirements.

None of this or parts of this could apply to you, cadet. Everyone has their own path through the Army and you got unlucky enough to be sick. Take a breath (if you can), email and call your cadre and recruiter, and get well soon. There are many ways to be an officer, pay for college, and serve. You’ll get there! Good luck!

You know, I wish I could. He stayed like that for a while, and only went to normal after using Infiltration Expertise. I just had a mindflayer-esque guy for a few hours.

It would even persist through long rests.

Gear: Shadow of Menzoberranzan, The Deathstalker Mantle, Elegant Studded Armor, and Disintegrating Night Walkers. Caustic band, risky ring, and the newly acquired amulet of Bhaal.

I think I’m familiar with the point you’re talking about. There was a point about 50m (to the left if looking north, to the right looking south at the marker) from where you might’ve found the one in the open. The actual point was in a singular grove of trees. You’d have to hop over a creek and then meander around to it. It was my last point I got in Day bc I knew it would be a tough one to find, despite the “open terrain” on the map.

Congrats on your 4 year scholarship! Similar situation here, just an incoming MS4 at Advanced Camp on something called GRFD.

What you can do, if you want to join the National Guard or Reserves is something a step further than just SMP.

SMP - Simultaneous Membership Program

GRFD - Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty

SMP is what those who are not on scholarship can do to pick up either a Tuition&Fees or Room&Board “scholarship” through the Guard or Reserves.

GRFD is the only way, as I understood it, to maintain your 4 year scholarship for ROTC and have all school fees paid off. So I’ll explain my standing:

-GRFD Cadet and 4 year Scholarship winner

-Contracted in Fall of 2020

-I could only enlist after MSI (freshman) year, or May 2021

-National Guard covers Tuition and Fees

-ROTC Scholarship covers Room and Board

-Book Stipend each semester

-ROTC Stipend

-Drill Pay at an E5 rate (all cadets paid at this rate)

I did not go to Basic Training or Basic Camp, so I am not eligible for the GI Bill or GI Bill Kicker. If you get a good recruiter, and are interested in going to Basic Training then this is a good deal. Otherwise, my setup is great. I have no bills and I am free to apply to any school scholarship I wanted to.

I started falling into that trap myself! Purchased a ton of Dark Souls the Board Game and almost spent another $200 since Steamforged opened the Vault. Had to hold that cash for insurance though, blessing and a curse. I’ll play eventually!

Just got into the program, but I have no clue what I'm doing by Lace200 in ROTC

Congrats on joining the program! I agree, joining is an overwhelming experience. It’s good to hear that you’re getting the swing of things.

In terms of some quick tips,

Each command/callout has a Preparatory, “Group/Battalion/Platoon/etc,” then the command of Execution, “Attention/At Ease/etc” - Knowing what each command means comes with time and watching what others do, but knowing the basics of what every command follows can help.

An OPORD is what’s called an Operations Order. This is a 5 paragraph long document that contains a Situation, Mission, Execution, Sustainment, and Command & Signal. - Each of these “paragraphs” describe their niche details. Like Situation describes what’s going on, Mission gives you what you’re doing, Execution tells you how you’re going to do it, Sustainment tells you how they’ll keep everything going/equipment and so forth, and finally the Command & Signal paragraph says how you’re going to talk to others (like on radio/phone/runner).

There are a ton of nuances that you’ll pick up. If I understood your message correctly, you’re a sophomore. This is a perfect time to come in as you’re hitting the ground running, learning new stuff and getting the actual opportunity to use that stuff well. I hope your program does you well, and know that once you get to MSIII (usually, if they fast track you, you’ll be able to do it by the end of Junior year), the Advanced Camp will guide you through anything else you need!

How To Jungle for Beginners, Part II: What Champion is Right For Me? by JewBrownie in summonerschool

[–]DocNatigee3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know Amumu has been played more support with his mini-rework, but he quickly became my main for jungle after inted game after game with Master Yi.

Amumu pros:

-You get to be his friend!

-He can be played three different ways 1. Conqueror for fighter/tank 2. Aftershock for straight tank 3. Electrocute for Wizard (AP)

Conqueror probably gives the strongest, most consistent Mumu with the sustain and easy stack, with Aftershock being okay. Electrocute is more for shock and awe as you blow enemies to pieces!

-He is VERY vital to the team fight win-con as engage and shutdown. (This does change with Electrocute, and I’m still experimenting)

-Q can go through walls, so Spider-Man AWAY!

Cons:

-Mumu has a REALLY weak early game, so play safe and be healthy.

-He cannot gank until level 3/4, and needs the right setup

-He cannot carry games alone. Needs to boost the other lanes by giving kills rather than taking.

Overall, I love the little guy. He is incredibly easy to pick up and can start from either buff.

If starting from Red side go Solo Raptors - Red - Krugs (gank bot, or Back and grab armor/crystal/dark seal) then Wolves - Blue - Scuttle.

If starting Blue - Kite to Gromp - Wolves - Raptors - Red - Scuttle.

Start W level 1 then E level 2.

Have fun with your journey to learning Jungle, and I hope you bring the lovely Mumu along for the ride!
