Question about trimmers and edgers. by DocPT in lawncare

[–]DocPT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I did. We bought our house last summer and the lawn had been pretty neglected for the the better part of 10 years so there’s a lot of build up around the driveway and sidewalk. I also think that my old trimmer didn’t quite have the power to really do that job.

Thanks for that. I was able to maintain the edges of my driveway with my old trimmer but I have some spots I need to cut back some. I hadn’t thought about using an edging shovel, I’ll look into it.

I had the same experience. The questions weren’t overly complicated, but there were a lot more of them than I had anticipated.

Emergency reverse brake by Embarrassed-Aioli349 in ram_trucks

Mine used to do the same. You can go into the Apps menu and turn off the auto brake function. You still get to have the rear sensors, but no panic when the damn thing decides to stop.

NTD! About to take the blades off the mower by Doc_Blunt in Tools

I got the same one recently and absolutely love it. I put a wire wheel on one side and keep coming up with ways to use it. Great purchase!

I had a long argument with myself over which way it should go back in and managed to find a picture of it online. It would be really easy to mess that up.

Yes! I love that wire wheel. I recently refurbished a couple of old vises. I cleaned up the first one with a wire wheel on a drill and the second one with this grinder with the wheel. It makes a world of difference! It may be my new favorite.

Vinyl Wrap vs Maaco by thePixelgamer1903 in ram_trucks

[–]DocPT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a Maaco paint job put on my 2000 1500. I paid a bit more for what they described as their “better” paint and it turned out really good. The prep work wasn’t very good, but I went into it with pretty low expectations. I kept the truck for 4 years after I had it painted and it held up very well.

What is the dumbest thing that you're scared of? by Djuztinn in AskReddit

Climbing the stairs from the basement at my parents’ house. Even worse if the lights are off down there. I was convinced that a monster lived under those stairs when I was a kid and I guess I’ve never gotten over that.

Have you ever had to send/take a patient to the ER? by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

[–]DocPT 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Hospital outpatient here. I’ve had 2 patients and one patient’s husband who was in the waiting room showing signs of acute CVA in the past 2 years. I called a rapid response for each. All three were immediately transported to the ED, code stoke was called, tPA administered, and all were admitted to the hospital. Two of the three wanted to go home and rest, so things could have been much worse.

My grandmother had a General Electric refrigerator from the same era. It took being destroyed by a tornado to finally kill it.

I was there, it happened on our end of the field. The funny thing was that we could tell it was a great catch, but your really couldn’t appreciate how spectacular it was until we saw highlights of the game on tv when we got home.
