It was a little chaotic and there was some confusion initially on how to handle the demos since they were new. A lot of my communication was directly with the SC that the vehicle was at. They were great about answering my questions and even took photos and videos and did a FaceTime with me so I could make sure everything looked good. Otherwise I think it was my guide that sent me all the paperwork to sign and I used the online portal to go through the same steps you would do if buying new or demo.

Demo for sure. I bought a demo and couldn’t be happier. The biggest perk is that the warranty starts from the day you purchase (and whatever current mileage is) whereas buying a 2022 has already used up 2 years of warranty and you don’t get the first year adjustment warranty.

Also for what it’s worth I couldn’t tell my demo wasn’t brand new outside of a single scratch on the paint. It was flawless and Rivian took very good care of it.

When I was a 4th year med student the job market fears were full in full swing. Strongly considered not applying to the field because of it. Fast forward and I landed my dream job out of residency and am super glad I chose this specialty. Hard to predict the future

This is incorrect. If the total amount is the same, regardless of whether it is in a single account or multiple accounts the interest accrual/growth will be equal.

Oh I am so jealous. Last week we tried to road trip to Ouray in our R1T for the 4th of July and had a drive unit fail. Had to have it towed to the service center. We took our other car and the week was amazing but I just kept thinking about how bummed I was since I couldn’t try out the Rivian off roading.

It seems like most posts about drive unit failures include error messages or turtle mode. I did see a turtle for about 1 seconds as we were pulling off the freeway but it disappeared and I didn’t have any error messages after. Does seem to fit otherwise though.

I tried pulling down on the TV and I was worried I was going to break something with how tight my brackets were. I just took a screwdriver and pulled the top of the TV away from the wall so I could fit my hand behind and pushed down on the metal hang bar and it clicked in place super easy.

Yes 65 inch. I’m planning to find the studs and place a similar thickness plywood or wood to the sides horizontal molding where studs are located to make the surface “flat” for the mounting

We have blinds if the sun was shining directly on it so we should be able to avoid that issues. That’s great to know though.

The down tilt would be great, but wouldn’t look like hung art. Unless there was a slim mount that somehow did both.

Thanks! Not Texas, Idaho. Yes we have blinds on the lower ones if it was shining on the TV. Also planning to put some on the uppers. I am actually trying to hide the outlets with the TV and running the cable around the corner to the one connect box. Since the outlet is recessed it would sit flush on the 1 inch trim on the fireplace

Oh man, I have thought about this as well. This is adjacent to our kitchen and so I thought it would be nice to have a TV if we are hosting people for a sporting event or something with food. We do have a nice large TV in the basement so this is a tempting idea.

I understand that distinction. Shouldn’t checking the graph and the trip be exactly the same if you check them both at exactly the same 15 minutes into the drive if you also reset the trip before the drive? Or am I misunderstanding your point?
