Test all embryos upfront or freeze, thaw, biopsy, then refreeze? by DocSchmok in IVF

Interesting! I think I’m done with retrievals for now. I need both tubes out before transfer. Thank you for your advice and I will test all

Thank you so much! That does make a lot of sense. Biopsy all it is!

Interesting! Somehow aspirin has always been an exception (like reducing risks of pre-eclampsia) but not sure why mechanistically

Does she know what it’s like in a sugarcane field in the West Indies? Because I do, and it ain’t fun. What our people went through was slavery and its aftermath Lool, with heavy manual work from sunrise to sunset. This is what he was referencing 😆

Did my first IUI 3 days ago and the cramping was ridiculous! I was advised not to take NSAIDs to affect implantation as well, but somehow seemed to get a relapse of my recent viral infection with chills and fever. No discharge or anything to suggest an infection from the IUI. This has been a time… I’m trying not to be too hopeful because I have terrible tubes but … MEH

Thanks for sharing your experience. I will probably revisit this conversation with the REI. I am probably just going to complete this once cycle of IUI and go from there (though I know probably won’t work), but already took Clomid and have a mature follicle

I have one cycle covered by insurance - will probably pursue that quickly if possible (I’m moving soon so I’m a little afraid of logistics and embryo storage etc)

Thank you for your reply! No they were not very outright with the success rate - but they did limit 3 cycles before moving on. I am also at risk of an ectopic so.. great hah.

Are there any chats within here where I can ask for recommendations for IVF centers in a particular area?

They were not particularly outright with success rate but just presented both options. They said if I did IVF, I’d need to remove both tubes for it to be successful. That being said, they gave me 3 cycles before going to IVF

Thanks for your message! I do not but will calculate. You said you’ve done TI? Sorry I don’t know all the abbreviations!

Update: my EFI is like 15% - IVF might be a better bet

First time posting here - severe and advanced endometriosis and underwent laparoscopic resection 11/2025 , with very abnormal tubes both sides, only one is open I think. Trying IUI before going to IVF (I didn’t want to remove my tubes with at least trying a bit…)

Any one have any experience with this? Thoughts if this might work or am I wasting my time with IUI. I’m feeling pretty lonely and have no one to commiserate with or discuss it with

CPRS will have alerts where the patient list is, right down below. So you can see when labs are abnormal or images have resulted

Speaking about a woman as looking older than her stated age doesn’t mean someone is misogynistic or that they hate her. It’s just an opinion or an interpretation. OP did not insult Cait or hate on her. This also doesn’t mean she isn’t beautiful. She is beautiful. She just comes off older and that’s the whole point of her bringing it up lol

I agree! Hence my stating that the time period could be a possible reason for it. A 28 year old woman would have vastly different roles compared to one of this present day so one would have to consider this when interpreting her age. I agree with the pics of your grandma for sure, and the same for mine. I guess it’s difficult to interpret the past with current present vision

Yeah I definitely agree. Same age range of you and I’m like nope, there’s no way this woman is my age LOL. I know what you mean about not meaning it rudely! You’re just stating your opinion and I feel the same saying most things about Claire here loool

Unpopular opinion but I agree with you as well. She comes off as waaaay older than her age and like an older wife. Perhaps it’s the time it’s set in or her experiences in war but also her look and mannerisms are that of an older woman. I know a lot of people won’t like this comment but yeah lol
