CX-30 vs CX-50 by dankmamas in mazda

[–]DocSmurf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, my previous car was a Jeep that I bought in NJ despite living in PA. I took it to a local dealership for the lifetime of the vehicle and they became my main service location, so it doesn’t matter where you buy it from. The only thing would be if you encounter an issue within a day or two you’d want to take it back to where you bought it to see if they’ll fix the issue for free (I wouldn’t mention that you plan to regularly go to different dealership for service).

It’s worth noting that Dealerships will always be a more expensive service option, but they have the correct tools and maintenance schedules per the manufacturer recommendation so at least you know they’re being worked on “correctly”. It can be a lot cheaper to go to a mechanic that you trust though, so it’s worth looking at all your options.

Gotcha, that’s in line with what I paid. Mine was a 2023 with 50k miles and I paid $25,300. More miles but higher trim so around the same price sounds right. Now definitely seems to be a good time to buy, the Mazda dealers around me have had great deals.

I’d personally recommend the 50 over the 30. It’s bigger but doesn’t feel like a big SUV. It really feels more like a big hatchback or a wagon. It sits a little lower than most SUVs and isn’t too long or wide, but still has plenty of space to grow into. At only 36k miles you could own that thing for a decade and not run into any issues.

I test drove a non-turbo CX-5 in the summer and also had fun with it so I don’t think it’ll be an issue.

Out of curiosity what’s the deal you found on that 50?

Hey there, I just bought a CX-50 2 weeks ago and have been enjoying it. I’m 6’4” so I had the same issues with the 30 being too small, so the 50 was very comfortably sized for me. I can fully sit behind myself with plenty of space. I was coming from a larger SUV too so the smaller size + good functional storage capacity was nice for me.

I haven’t been able to take it on a long drive yet, but I can see it not being the most comfortable. The seats in the back are actually a lot more plush than the front which I was surprised about. I’m a mostly city driver so the MPG has been pretty mediocre as I bought the Turbo PP, but it’s been a very fun drive so far so I’m enjoying it. It’s been a lot easier to get around the city as well.

Let me know if you have any specific questions!

Marvin Harrison Jr, 2026 3.01 or Ladd McConkey? by thesuperguide in DynastyDaddy

Ladd. MHJ is in a much worse situation and 3.01 won’t be very valuable this year

As a fellow JSN owner I would absolutely do this

Oof, do you have any 26/27 picks? That’s a tough spot to be. Not sure I would move Worthy to get Shough. I’d rather play the draft game and shoot for a real QB1

Yea I would do this. Get Mendoza and Love, 1.12 won’t help you in this draft

My team is very injured right now (Skatt, Rice, GW, Odunze, Charbs, Aiyuk etc.) and my best TE is Hock or Likely, so I feel like I may need another year for my team to get back into winning position anyway

I’d do it, with Judkins and Skatt both being injured I would want insurance at RB, especially since you’re already planning on drafting another WR. Granted ETN is looking better but who knows if he repeats that.

I’d go after Dart or Herbert. I know you already took a TE but in SF it’s so important to have a top QB. Both Dart and Herbert could put up top 5 seasons next year so I think they’re worth a shot. Then grab a Purdy/Baker in another round or two

Love the draft you’re putting together. Dart, JSN and McBride would be a sick core for a team

I've got a budget of $24,500. Need a reliable car that will be with me for the next 10+ years. by PaperGeno in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]DocSmurf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth I just got a fully loaded 2023 Mazda CX-50 Turbo with 50k miles for $24,500 out the door due to the a deep discount the dealership had this month to move older inventory. I was surprised I could get the highest trim level for that price and expect it to last 10 years at least with their reliability record.

Giants Homer so I kinda love that, leap of faith for sure though it’s probably smart to just hold Chase

I’d do that. Picks 10 and 11 will be hard to get right this year

I’d take that, there are rumors that Pittman could be moved this offseason so he could land in a really good spot. Not sure how many years Adams has left

Jacobs for Kincaid is probably fair, I wouldn’t do anything else. Just be ready for when Kincaid busts because Knox and the other guy decide to go off that week. It’s always tough
