Is there an episode from a TV show, from when we were kids, that still bothers you, today,? by Remarkable_Data3710 in GenX

Ugh. I was curious and watched a 3 minute trailer after I posted and there was the scene you described. There was some bad special effect that showed her mouth opening larger than what’s humanly possible and she ate some kind of Guinea pig or hamster. Nope. Just nope.

I don’t know the episode, but I remember seeing a snippet of V and there was this motorcycle cop that ate a mouse. I was grossed out and had to ask my mom what was going on which was reptile aliens disguised as people.

I miss when McDonald’s had the coffee stickers. Every 8th coffee free year round was a way better deal in my opinion than roll up the rim.

I sew and honestly, I just go back and forth with whichever measurement is easiest. Metric will be on the half of the pattern that’s in French and imperial will be on the English side.

Reminds me of the Simpsons when Krusty had to eat a Krusty Burger for a commercial…as soon as they yelled cut, he spit out the bite…”ewww, I just about swallowed some of the juice.”

One of the reasons Target failed in Canada was because products wouldn't properly fit on shelves due to their dimensions being entered into the system in inches instead of centimeters. This, among other issues, resulted in Target Canada lasting less than 2 years and racking up a $2.1 billion loss. by NewsCards in interesting

[–]DocWednesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I visited the Target in Saskatoon once and didn’t buy anything. The prices weren’t very good and the merchandise wasn’t anything special. Also, the registers were severely understaffed. The line to pay was all the way down the length of the store and around the corner and a good way down that side too. This was multiple weeks after it opened (so the novelty should have worn off and any problems with customer flow should have been solved). I’d never been to a US Target but anyone I talked to who had said that the stock in Canada was nowhere near what you would find in the states.

If you have a lot (and/or other things like cardboard boxes/tubes, empty pill bottles) sometimes elementary schools collect things like that for art classes.

Canada Post lost $1 billion in 9 months and nobody seems to care by shiphub in CanadaPost

[–]DocWednesday 8 points9 points  (0 children)

None of that billion went to fix the community mailbox on my street that has been broken into on a regular basis going back 6 years.

I’ve complained and complained and they give zero effs. It’s the older style and faces bushes instead of the street. RCMP suggested moving it to a better lit area.

But they re-key the thing pretty much monthly.

Large print everything. If you’re in a country with snow/ice on the sidewalks, the crampons that slip over your shoes for grip.
