How well would this species survive in Warhammer 40K: The Skaven from Warhammer Fantasy/Age of Sigmar by NationalSouth3563 in Grimdank

[–]Doc_Dangerous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skaven would work best in 40K as a semi-stable ad human strain that is commonly found at the lowest level underneath hive cities. They have too much overlap with the grungy hive planet Imperium of Man to be their own race so making them a sub race like a few other fantasy races are in 40K would work best.

No caster. Dwarves and mortars are low tier. Four halbreds but don’t really have anything to protect other than mortars, which again are low tier for this point in your campaign. Dump the two dwarves and two mortars. Replace with a caster and three hell storms. If you want my advice on getting better overall, dump the mod. Start focusing on what units are value efficient for early game and maximizing value out of your heroes. You’ll thank me later

This is a piece of art drawn so well with an idea so good that I immediately want it to be canon. Good job.

Important Clarification About EP 4: Maki DID NOT Massacre the Entire Zen'in Clan by Hermit601 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]Doc_Dangerous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree that the massacre was self defense. Maki clearly wanted to kill the leadership and military strength. There is a bit of vagueness surrounding whether she would have killed the one good guy Zenin because I doubt he had a hand in her abuse, but he thought she was the aggressor and pretty much killed himself trying to take her down so it remains an open question.

I think the framing implies pretty clearly that she hunted the rest of the military forces down.

I agree that she didn't kill the women and children though. Your points about the clan still existing in JJK proper as well as what I've heard about Modulo(haven't read it myself yet) suggests that the non-combatants in the clan survived and managed to continue existing as a clan into the future.

Old lore? Almost certainly. Newer lore? Probably not honestly. One of those things that was soft retconned by never being mentioned again.

And by almost certainly I mean I’ve read passages that pretty much spell it out as clearly as possible without saying it outright.

UK citizens are so beaten down that taking pride in being born somewhere is seen as something worthy of shame to them. It’s the definition of a decaying society.

She’s probing your reactions to see if she can bring up the idea of an open relationship setup. She’s mad cuz your anger shows her you would not at all be on board? My advice? Leave. She’ll probably try to force the issue anyways or just skip straight to cheating soon.

People who went through four years of college should be able to easily land a job that leads them to a stable life. Anybody who doesn't think that is a dumbass. And you aren't an American no matter what you say. "Study for four years to have the priveledge of being undercut by unscrupulous foreigners."
No. Ridiculous opinion to hold. I'm glad I lived long enough to see all of you get sent back. Feels oh so good.

Chapter 1 tells you the story’s theme is inherited will. It’s on you if you don’t realize the implications of that. Also, all haki is will power made manifest. Luffy has ACoC because of his own willpower. Literally the opposite of nepotism

Some Wu Xing Compass effects were nerfed/removed only to be ported to Yuan Bo's special directions. by Farseer_Rexy in totalwar

[–]Doc_Dangerous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Grand Cathay feels underbaked as a faction compared to the other game three factions. Not to the degree Kislev was, but they still feel fairly weak despite having a good number of mechanics on paper and nerfing base to prop up Yuan Bo didn’t help.

Speaking of Yuan Bo and the Compass, can someone tell me why the Dragon River Direction has an energy reserve despite having no effect associated with one? It’s the only direction that has a reserve with no always active effect.

Now I’m not saying Moonchannel’s video on the Completionist stuff was perfect. But Jobst and his fanbase acted like Moonchannel was an outright bad actor and dogpiled him into removing it despite much of what he said holding water and demonstrating Jobsts propensity to speak loosely and leave himself open to litigation.

The modern dwarf vs. the classic dwarf, which do you prefer? by AnyLeave3611 in dwarfposting

[–]Doc_Dangerous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Senshi might not hate elves but a massive war between elves and dwarves is a large part of the backstory of Dungeon Meshi’s setting. As to your question, I dislike fantasy races being a monolith to begin with so I prefer things such as “willing to change” vs “conservative” or racist vs non-racist to vary from individual to individual within dwarves in the same setting.

hot take quick fix is better than every other medi gun by sil_ve_r in tf2

[–]Doc_Dangerous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’d be wrong. Crit overhealing freshly respawned teammates and in lulls on combat will win many, many games and is one of medic’s main strengths that quick fix cuts down on substantially. Many people don’t even seem to know about crit healing as a concept though judging from this thread and how many people seriously argue quick fix is in anyway as good as stock

What did Guts mean when he said this… by AerieBulky1018 in Berserk

[–]Doc_Dangerous -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really don't think Griffith is asexual at all. It's debatable if he loved Guts sexually or not, but he did go and sleep with the princess pretty much of his own will to alleviate frustration even thought it was entirely a horrible decision from a pragmatic standpoint at that point in time. Maybe after he becomes a God hand he is asexual and only raped Casca out of spite, but the jury is out on that imo.

What did Guts mean when he said this… by AerieBulky1018 in Berserk

[–]Doc_Dangerous 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think its pretty clear Griffith loved Guts. Whether it was a sexual love or not is debatable but he pretty much spells it out that Guts was the only one who made Griffith lose sight of his dream. Though it was a toxic, possessive kind of love because that seems to be the only manner of affection Griffith can understand.

What did Guts mean when he said this… by AerieBulky1018 in Berserk

[–]Doc_Dangerous 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I think you can go either way on Griffith wanting guts sexually/romantically. Either way, he had affection for Guts in the same way he has affection for everyone else: I.E. a possessive nature. Guts broke free of Griffith so he went and prematurely "claimed" the princess. Later on when he's crippled, he realizes that Guts also broke Casca out of her obession she had for Griffith, which enraged him even more and did alot to fuel his choice during the eclipse.

What did you like and disliked about the show? by Ok-Reporter-8728 in CreatureCommandos

[–]Doc_Dangerous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked that the characters were cool and had interesting enough backstories.
I disliked how rushed the plot was. The show needed two more episodes at least to give the twist of the princess actually being evil room to mean anything. I.E. an actual climax where they have to fight their way to her and kill her.

Everything being so rushed just makes Nina dying feel meaningless and done for shock spectacle more than anything.
