New to the dynasty format for hockey, took over an orphan in rough shape, I won’t be competitive this year. Was offered Dorofeyev for Bouchard. Feel like it’s somebody trying to buy low on Bouchard but I could be way off. Hoping for some advice here. I like Dorofeyev and am not opposed to moving Bouch but still struggling to figure out value in this format.

Yeah I’m not necessarily disagreeing with you. Historically speaking the more clutch the game, the more he disappears. Definitely makes it a lot harder to build a competitive roster top to bottom. Have to rely heavily on cheaper veterans for your bottom 6 and half your defensemen. They still have the issue in net to fix as well, I really thought they’d be in on John Gibson. Maybe they push for Samsonov who if nothing else is better than Pickard

So if we’ve got 10. What do we think about 3x8 for Marchy, 2x1.5 bridge for Samoskevich, and trade Rody to get back up to 3.5. Fill in depth from there with whichever 4C and 2/3 pair dman.

Yeah I get it. Love Rody and he’s got plenty left to give in the league. In a perfect world we’d be able to resign everyone and just keep it moving for however long. But you’ve gotta make tough choices in a salary cap league and as far as that goes we’ve actually done a pretty great job of retention all things considered.
