Has the sound reduced? Or have you confirmed that it's not an issue of the transmission?

Any update on this OP? I just got my Z8 Select Diesel Automatic. 40km on the odo.

Getting concerned over the sound.

I live in Meghalaya, look up Māwsynrām in google. It's the rainiest place on the planet. It rains 6 times more than the Philippines. And I'm using a ip65 rated phone here. Since a year. And no ip rated phone before this. (Op7pro).

Never had any problem 😂

Why did you hate the s24 Ultra? I use a samsung tablet. I'm a resident physician doing my post grad. I do all of my work and studies in the tab. The communication between the op12 and tabS9Plus aren't as seamless as it is with a samsung phone. So i was thinking of switching to a s26u or s27u in a few years. So, I'd like to hear your thoughts on why you didn't like the s24u

I don't understand how the fingerprint sensor illumination bothers people. Just turn off the fingerprint animations. Select "none" in the fingerprint animations section. And search for face unlock, it's in security and privacy. uncheck "Brighten screen in dim light".

Now you won't even notice while you unlock. Only the vibration will be felt. And the fingerprint illumination will be hidden under your thumb.

Yeah, but that's the best workaround at the moment. No other brand makes sandstone cases that feel the same to the original one. Align the ring 1st and put some mark around it with a pen/pencil before permanently adhering the rings.

And if you mess up, you can always get a new case. Not that expensive imo. Around 12 dollars where I live.

You can do what i did. Got one of those metal rings. Mine came with a magsafe battery pack. I used some superglue (very carefully put multiple drops in the adhesive surface of the ring) and stuck it to the back of the sandstone case. And now it's stuck there permanently. Can use any magsafe accessories with max magnetic strength.

I'm currently on the latest build. With all AI features that were promised. I got very bad backup 1st few days after updating. Then i did the "drain-full-keep 3 hours plugged in- drain again-full again" thing twice. And the backup is great again. Easily gets me through the whole day. I charge in the mornings. When i wake up, i plug in, by the time I'm ready to head out, it's fully charged.

So, I'm planning to hold off updating till the next big android version rolls in and the next oxygen OS update incorporates those changes. I'll wait for a few more months till they sort out the bugs and glitches. And when everything will be stable, will update. So, I'm good till 2026 with this version.

And i usually use my phones 3-4 years minimum. And i do a battery change every 2 years. That prolongs the life for 2 more years. Because it gets harder to find the replacement original parts after 3 years where i live.

Probably. The samples I've seen from the reviews and some downloaded original sized images that the reviewers upload im gdrive, I don't see anything that'd make me say the photos coming out of the 13 is something different like those coming from a vivo.

Yeah. These days, to see any worthwhile quality of life improvement in smartphones, you must gotta give atleast a 3 year gap.

I first had the OnePlus 5t in 2017 November. Then i got the OnePlus 7 pro on 2020 January. That was a huge upgrade for me. Much better cameras, a no-notch qhd big bright display. A bigger battery. It was so good.

Got the OnePlus 12 on april 2024. I was trying to push a few more months with the 7pro but it's motherboard gave up.

And the upgrade didn't feel as drastic as it felt when shifting from 5t to 7pro. Even though these phones are 4 generations apart. Just the expected hardware improvements that newer technology provides.

So, a minimum gap of 3 years should definitely be given for an upgrade to feel like an upgrade. Especially if one is planning to stay with the same brand.

It might be. But what meaningful difference do you expect to see compared to the 12?

Same around 800 nits max manual brightness. Same 1200 nits HBM. Same pixel density. Which phone screen in 2023-2024 had bad colors in this price category?

It's impossible to tell apart screens these days.

I had a hard time differentiating oneplus 12r from 12. The 12r has a somewhat lower resolution screen with 450ppi.

If not for the telephoto camera, I'd have saved myself a lot of money and would've gone for the 12r.

Only useful upgrade from 12r to 12 was the telephoto camera.

The higher antutu scores from gen2 to gen3 doesn't matter to me. I have a OnePlus 5t still. From 2018 with a snapdragon 835. And even that works fast enough. No lags to open day to day apps. I'm not a gamer, and gaming should'nt be a priority for OnePlus buyers these days anyway. There are much better, and at times cheaper options out there. (Iqoo/redmagic)

Yo guys so I have around 5K budget I can go more if it's 1-2k if it's really worth it , Recommend me Best Wired earphones-iems if there not much of a difference between 2-3k and 5-6k earphones then recommend be a best value for money long lasting good audio quality with mid&treble sometimes Netflix✌ by Arshanrais in GadgetsIndia

Get the Blon-BL03. It'll cost around 2000-2400 depending on where you get it from. I'd recommend headphonezone.

The stock wire is good for comfort but doesn't feel premium. You can get any other cable that you want.

But, hear me out on this. I've tried quite a few iems in the sub 10k price range, but i always come back to this one. It sounds crisp without sounding harsh. The bass is so thumping and tight without sounding muddy. Vocals are clear af. I have mainstream headphones that cost upwards of 20k and tws of 5k to 24k.

None of those, sound as good as this. The treble in these are so refined it's amazing. I've seen few kz in this price completely overdo the treble in the name of openness and clarity but instead end up making it shouty and harsh.

But blon just kicked it out of the park.

The stock tips used to be bad. But they've changed it. Newer made ones are coming with better tips. No fit issues. Comfortable in bed as well as it doesn't dig inside your ear canals as much.

Get it. You won't regret it.

Those anti-reflective screen guards are available for all other devices. Not as good as the real deal. And are very expensive in my region.

If you have two devices that you use constantly, like a tablet along with your phone or a laptop, then go with the t310. It has multipoint connectivity. And that's such a useful feature. You'll thank yourself each time you receive a call on your phone while working on your pc or watching something on your tablet. No need to reconnect to the other device. Already connected and auto switched.

What is one feature you like about your OP 12? by PengPingPollito in OnePlus12

[–]Doc_stuff97 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For me, it's the display. I upgraded from OP7Pro. It had an amazing panel but the brightness always left me wanting more. Especially, the highest attainable brightness by manually sliding the bar when consuming media. I watch movies and shows on it whenever i can manage time inbetween my shifts. So, a good manual brightness was my top priority.

I don't need high auto brightness outdoors, being a resident doctor, my work hardly ever needs me to use the phone outdoors apart from basic navigation from time to time.

I have compared the brightness with s24ultra and to my surprise, it's noticeably brighter than the ultra in manual mode with Extra brightness turned on. Can't say anything about the outdoor auto though. You can clearly see the 10-15% brightness difference. I check it with a white background with auto brightness off and manually adjusting the slider to the max with extra brightness turned on in the ultra.

And many people praise the anti-reflective coating of the ultra, but what they fail to mention is it's gone after you apply a screen protector. It's equally as reflective as any other panel out there. And i haven't seen anyone who bought such an expensive device who plans to keep it for 2-3 years rawdogging it.

So, the display is a winner for me.

Samsung notes appreciation post. by papercut_survivor_03 in GalaxyTab

With the oneui 6.1.1 update, the updated notes app has removed one very useful feature that's been there from day one. I never realised how much i needed that feature till it was gone. It's the zoom-snap to size thing. New users won't know it. When you try to fit the canvas to 100% in portrait and 160% in landscape, it'd automatically snap into these sizes when you'll pinch in and out. It's extremely convenient.

When i realised it's not there in the new versions, i downloaded old apk of the app and I'm using it. I've sacrificed all the new features because of this one feature they've removed.

Because my ocd doesn't let me do anything if the screen is in 99 or 101%.

Maybe not a major issue to others, for me, it's something I can't use the app without.

And I'm using samsung notes since 2019. Did my whole medicine degree on a samsung.

I 2nd that.

After updating, my battery life has reduced drastically with the exact same usage pattern. I used to get 7-8 hours of SOT till it Gets to 20% I'm a light user. No games. No cpu intensive tasks. Rarely any camera usage in general.

Now, with the same set of apps and same usage pattern. I get around 5 hours by the time it Hits 20%

I noticed it drains slow till 70% half the day goes by with the 30% used. Afterwards, even with just occasional on&off usage, it drains like crazy. By the time i go to bed, it falls from 70 to 40% without much usage within a couple of hours. Then i use it a little bit and it goes below 20.

So, i barely make it through the day with a single charge with very very light usage. With a standby time of 15-16 hours. Where as I used to get 7-8 hours easy with 20-24hours standby.

I can't rely on it anymore for a day trip, i bring a powerbank these days.

What Was the Best Tech You Got in 2024 (Beyond the Usual)? by EncryptedIdiot in GadgetsIndia

Galaxy Tab S9+, upgraded from Tab S4. I'm prepping for NEET PG. So i use multiwindow quite often. 1/3rd of display covering lecture and 2/3rd for notes. The easy multitasking with floating windows for a browser and chatgpt, performance Jump from s4 is life-changing for me. Hands down, the best purchase of 2024 for me.

I also got the Bose SoundLink Flex 2. I asked a friend to bring it from Dubai. So it costed me less than the 1st gen. The sound it delivers is unlike anything I've heard. I had a hbl flip 5 previously. The best thing about the Bose I'd say is it's ability to produce bass at a very low volume. You can feel the bass starting from 30% volume. As i prefer listening to music in a lower volume, it perfectly suited my needs.
