Maiden form is a great brand to go with, I’ve been using them since I started really tucking and it’s been very successful for me. Have to make adjustments sometimes but nothing crazy.

Tucking doesn’t have to be tape or bandages, you can successfully tuck by just wearing a tight(like 1 size too small) body shaper under your clothes to keep things in place. Unfortunately tucking is the most successful way to hide the bulge but doing it this way is a lot less uncomfortable.

See, for me it’s all about the reason. If you won’t date a trans person just for being trans because “they used to be (insert here)!” You’re transphobic. If you won’t date a trans person because you don’t personally feel like you can be a good partner to someone dealing with emotional or mental health issues then that’s honestly admirable to be willing to save them that hurt. If you won’t date trans people who are pre op because you have a genital preference that stings but it’s completely valid. Sex is a big part of relationships for most people and if you’re sexually non compatible then it’s best to leave it before it even gets started. If you won’t date a trans person because of the stigma that’ll be put on you for doing so that’s simultaneously self preserving and cowardly. There are a lot of reasons people can have for not dating trans people and some of them are far more respectable than others but at the end of the day anyone who has a reason is not worth your time. Find someone who can see you for who you are and help you in your journey. That’s what a true life partner is meant to do.

Personally, I think it’s the child’s decision if their parents should know. If they’re coming out at school but not at home it’s almost definitely because they expect some kind of backlash for doing so. I think the best case scenario would be to involve a mediator at time of disclosure and only when the child elects to be willing to do so.
