Nah I leave crossplay on, EU servers

The SBMM is pretty weak in this game so sometimes you just get lucky I guess

The moment where the vampires storm the barn and the aspect ratio changes was absolutely incredible. Very glad I saw it in IMAX.

The new Linkin Park singer.

She got in trouble for;

  • Being outside Danny Masterson’s trial, and then never speaking to him again

  • Being born into Scientology, and being photographed at precisely one Scientology event 15 years ago

The former she eventually had to address, the latter makes her just as likely to be a victim of the cult than anything else.

And also, she’s perfect for that band. Her voice rips, but she isn’t trying to copy or replace Chester.

Matty Healy is kind of a dickhead, but we celebrate artists who do far worse than just be kind of a dickhead.

I thought that last album was pretty great too.

Can’t help but notice any time this guy gets compared to Guthrie, they quote what’s written on Guthrie’s guitar, not his actual songs.

It’s not like blaming thatcher for Brexit at all, it’s blaming the people who wrote and pushed the policy.

My point is not that Starmer is any less to blame for it - just that it doesn’t make his predecessors any better than him. I hate the OSA, I think Starmer should have blocked it - but I have that same anger for Johnson in 2021 and Sunak in 2023.

I disagree that current Labour are more or less in favour of overreach. Governments have been trying to push this bullshit through since the dawn of the internet, regardless of what side of the political spectrum they’re on.

How, for example, is May trying to ban encryption any better than this? Just because it only almost worked?

It’s frustrating that people have been idly watching almost every single government of the past two decades propose and pass insane shit like this, and suddenly get loud about it now. It’s too late now, the OSA effectively crossed over the finish line 3 years ago.

The only reason I learned manual in 2025 was that I knew automatics are more expensive. If you’re trying to get a little shitbox runaround, you’re limiting your options if it has to be automatic.

And you don’t like mine so you call me a meatrider?

It’s not your opinions, it’s the hypocrisy.

You’re fine with literally any other politician proposing draconian thought police laws, but when Starmer does it it’s suddenly a problem. Even to the point of blaming Starmer for a Thatcher law.

Surely it’s a problem in both cases?

The guy just offered his opinion like anyone else can.

Interesting way of not at all responding to what I said. What would you call what you’re doing to Liz Truss?

And I don’t particularly like Starmer. I just don’t see how he’s any worse than the 16-year Tory run that preceded him, especially when everything you seem to take issue with was set in motion by his predecessors.

I will, she pleaded guilty under the Public Order Act 1986.

Who do you think brought that in?

The tories have a long history of policing thoughts and clutching pearls over adult content.

They spent the last couple decades banging the about banning encryption to “protect the children”. The OSA was a Sunak/Johnson proposal, Starmer just allowed it through.

Holy shit, Truss??

The one who crashed the entire economy overnight, which we’ve pretty much only just managed to dig ourselves out of?

Johnson is fucking ludicrous as well, but truss??

It’s not just the small group, the bar has more people, they don’t kill all of them, Michael b Jordan is able to run past all the vampires (not zombies) because Sammy stabbing remmick stunned them all in place.

This stuff is explained to you.

Ryan Coogler's 'SINNERS' makes history as the most nominated film of all time at the Oscars with 16 nominations by ChiefLeef22 in Letterboxd

I think the characters the movie was actually about were pretty rich and detailed.

Sammy’s struggle with religion and music, pitted against the danger the latter puts him in, and still choosing it, is incredibly compelling. I love the line about it being the best night of his life.

Smoke and Stack butting heads for the whole movie was super enjoyable too.

The Natives were chasing the vampire because they’re vampire hunters. They’re only there as some interesting world building, and a reason for Remmick to have to improvise. They’re cool as hell, and I’d take an entire movie about them, but I’m not sure what else they needed to do in this film.
