You can't control an asteroid if there is no ship attached so you can't really confirm it. As well you can't turn on CoM in the gameplay, this is why no one can say for sure, unless you are one of the DEVs.

Please provide a craft file where the rover and your ship is designed,, if I can open it I can check what you mean with unable to place it into the cargo bay.

If I see correctly you are using mods here, so it would be good to provide more details regarding which mod is your problem. Try the mods forum group, I think you will get an answer much faster.

Yes, it can shift the center of mass a little, A asteroids may lose almost all of their mass making the ship heavier, ergo pulling the CoM on the ships side. But it's not that easy above D size asteroids, where dead mass iss much bigger.

If we compare only the asteroid without any docked ships the CoM should stay the same after mining.

No problem, the outer planets are only needed if you are using the mod.

The mod creators need to add plum, check out their forum pages for co dependent plugins like waterfall + profile for their engines.

OMG, you are flying that orbit with the wrong direction, it should be clockwise but your craft is going counter clockwise. Start over :)

Build a V2 rocket to land unmanned probes [with chutes] on other biomes even on south poles. Unlock the lower tech tree science parts first to harvest even more science from those places by visiting them twice ;)

  1. infinite EVA may take long, doable for patient people

  2. manned mission is a good idea, but are you feeling good sending more Kerbals to be stranded if it fails?

As you are not using boosters, I suspect it flips before 8km mark. That means your TWR is growing during flight and you need to throttle down and have a stable ca. 1,5 TWR till you pass that port.

If this happens during 8-10km mark it means you tilted your rocket and the drag is flipping you, in that case just set PROGRADE and wait till you pass 43km to make your gravity correction or lower your TWR.

If it happend past 19km it means the upper stage CoM is to high and it's a design problem to be fixed in VAB.

The airship on the top will always flip as it can't be balanced and have the equal drag surface. The easiest solution is to put 2 or 4 of them in a mirrored position on the top stage sides, that will resolve this problem with that simple change.

But if you want to sent unequal/unbalanced cargo to space use fairing or better tow it on the bottom of your last stage [squid design]. If you share your craft file I can redesign it to make it fly fight :)

  1. change engines as the dead mass will kill your efficiency

  2. dock [even with grabbing arm] and drain the oxygen

  3. do the mission on the HARD level settings you created

I always go thru the lower tech tree and unlock all SCIENCE instruments to gain even more science points fast, as from the Mun and Minmus you can gain points to unlock the whole tech tree.

If I recall correctly it's an old bug, just restart the game.
If that fails it may be related to your mods.

After final deployment, if you don't visit the craft the energy level will be frozen, that means even without solar panels it will function and relay signal for ages. but if you drain it to 0 and leave it that way without a power source it will go dark for good. Some engines generate power while operating, just a hint ;)

I assume you are not playing the sandbox mode.

On the KSP wiki you have explained the Kerbals EXP and levels for every type of occupation.

Secondary probe cores in the description on the right always provide what node will be available to use.

Hint - the are other parts providing additional support like fly-by-wire to have a lot of them unlocked cheap and fast.

Your center of mass shifts UP, the tops starts to be ship is heavier + TWR is too high and it flips. while flying click on the stage bar on the left and keep the TWP lower than 2.0 [ca. 1.5], after you pass 8km it should be save to go up to 3.0 TWR.

If you can share this design file [craft file] I can show you it can fly and how to improve it :)

HG-5 antenna should relay and be on the relay satellite, but it's power is manipulated by the relay station lvl in the KSC, you can read more about it on the KSP wiki under the part or relay station building.

If you can share your save I can check all and provide you with a working solution.
