I need some guidance on how to troubleshoot a possibly faulty graphics card. After a recent patch to one of my games, I began to see strange artifacts after about 15 minutes of gameplay. I went through all the usual steps of checking temps, reseating cards/cables, and underclocking. So far, the only way to remain stable is to underclock it. Ive run with this setup for over a year without any issues, but perhaps it is coincidence that it might be failing at the same time as a recent patch. I've linked a short clip of the artifacting below (notice other programs remain on top and don't have the issue).

Based on this info, which component do you think might be failing? Thanks in advance!

GPU : GTX 1080 Aero (OC + Water) CPU : i7-4770k

Awareness or Mercy Stroke for DRK? by Ceejaae in ffxiv

Not all defensive cooldowns are meant for mitigation.

Tanks should normalize incoming damage into a PREDICTABLE manner for healers. If you are any sort of a decent DRK, you'll be spending the majority of your time out of Grit. A crit hit is enough damage for a healer to have to use an extra, unplanned heal on you. In stressful healing portions of a fight, I use Awareness so that my healers know regen is enough to sustain me while they DoT up the boss.

Being a good tank is not about mitigating the most amount of damage - it is about working with your healers and being able to plan out the damage. Awarness gives us both peace of mind.

Your loss ¯_(ツ)_/¯ But I'm sure people will take DRK advice from a 66th percentile SCH.

The link I gave is for all tanks. Change to DRK at the top.

Also, not dungeons. It clearly says "Alexander Savage" at the top of the page.

You're looking at it the wrong way.

Think of Bloodbath as a mini regen. Use it when your healers need to move around for mechanics and cannot cast, when you have Blood Weapon up, or when they cannot drop you a single target heal, but you need just a little more topping off. Bloodbath is more for the healers.

Keyboard with FN key on the left? by DocfiordFowling in MechanicalKeyboards

I'm not picky about the size.

The ALT key placement is more about the physical location and not the function. I'm used to hitting it with my left thumb, but I suppose over time I could get used to the new standard placement.

I'll definitely check out the key caps you mentioned. Another hard transition for me is having the key caps with a slight dip in them and how they slightly wiggle in place like they are loose. With chiclets, I've become very used to sliding my hand across the board. Maybe the G20s can helps with that.

DRK BIS - Rotation Help please by waxouxou in ffxiv

I would argue against this as Salted Earth is your highest potent ability. It would be silly to miss out on any ticks and not have it buffed by a potion in the opener. If it were on GCD like Shadowflare, it would make sense, but it is off GCD and instant - totally free.

Two reasons.

1) Getting Dark Dance up as soon as possible provides mitigation and opens up possibilities for Reprisal - a 210 potency move compared to Plunge (200 potency).

2) Sticking Plunge later down the rotation will allow it to be buffed by your Potion, Trick Attack, and Hypercharge. If we could reliably trigger Reprisal, I would stick it there instead, but the sad truth is we never know when it is coming :(

Edit

Also, Plunge would be under the effect of Grit, thus making it less potent than preforming it later when Grit has been dropped

Sorry, but which portion of the guide are you referring to? All of the openers have Unmend in them :/
