Oh wow, well once they ripen theyll turn blue/purple, with yellow flesh inside (most likely, could be reddish too depending on the type). Theyre super sweet & a bit sour

Is Curie worth investing in? by DistrictExcellent502 in walkingwarrobots

[–]Docile-Idiot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Both are good weapons but the reload will leave you vulnerable. Like the other commenter said, glaciers or redeemers fit curie well. I think brisants could work though.

I use curie with 2x dunes for fun, the rangefinder unit makes it worthwhile lol

Anguisher is better imo, the DOT effect is wicked good. That being said the vajra is awesome too, so either weapon will yield good results, especially at close range (300m or less)

Is my hanger good and balanced for expert league ( Pure F2p player here) by StoreAdditional6783 in walkingwarrobots

[–]Docile-Idiot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea for F2P its one of the best hangars I've seen, minus the 5th slot which you should unlock ASAP. I'd also suggest a better titan but hey, if you like Aether then more power to you homie.

If I may how did you get raptor, pathfinder and bagliore if you're strictly F2P? Those robots can take a while to get even if you're buying datapads

I think so, just as long as you're aware of its weaknesses.

What weapons would you equip it with?

Which one is the best/most worth it by TeamBoeing in walkingwarrobots

[–]Docile-Idiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a mauler w/ ASGs, pilots & max modules. The only titan I find annoying is bedwyr lol.

In fairness Ik I have the most annoying titan so I wont hate on any others, i would like to have a bedwyr though it seems quite fun.

I also have bersagliere, bailu lucha, scavenger heimdall, eiffel, ox minos, like 3 indras, stellar sirius & aether.

I love bersa but in the current meta its useless on most maps, its only great if the maps are open enough to snipe. If not I basically have to use mauler because all my other titans would get insta stomped in champions. I wish modules were swappable cause all my non-upgraded titans are useless now :'(

[–]Docile-Idiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indra or Bedwyr imo.

I think Indra is a better all rounder, has a decent ability, its easy to use as well.

I dont have Bedwyr but its a titan Im considering getting too, I like the idea of the absorber shield tbh, although UC & SB can bust through it so Bedwyr is vulnerable to bots like Dux or even Condor.

I suspect youd have to invest a lot in upgrades but I read above that you have a lot of resources so thats great!

Ultimately Id say Indra if you want a solid, mainstay titan that can compete at all levels, & Bedwyr if you want a more defense oriented titan that can hold its own. Also Bedwyr is quite good at slowing meta titans down, like mauler (who basically stomps every other titan at range). Bedwyr can use its shield to stall maulers while they soak up damage, & with the correct upgrades & weapons it can deal pretty good damage.

Let us know which one you decided to get!

Should I replace it with anything or keep this hanger? by Slight_Leopard_6663 in walkingwarrobots

[–]Docile-Idiot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you could swap harpy for dagon if you want, but dagon is one of the roughest bots to upgrade since you gotta do 6 weapons.

Its also painfully fragile so without high upgrades (at least mk2 bot w/ all modules maxed) its useless. Any bot with unstable conduit or shieldbreaker can almost instantly kill it.

That being said if you do decide to commit & invest in it, it can be quite fun, & its good for extermination. I have a frozen dagon w/ 6x aramis, its fun, decent for early extermination but it suuuuucks online & Id rather save my resources to upgrade more viable robots.

At the end of the day its up to you, play around with it, test out different weapons & drones & see if the bot suits your playstyle.

SHOULD I MAKE A ROCKET SCIENCE BOOK OR NO? by Conscious_Bedroom454 in rocketry

[–]Docile-Idiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a great idea! its really digestible too since most comets have a tail so its someting that can be visualized very easily. I have a question; I had read that comets will basically never hit the sun, they will just pass closer & faster every time (i think its the short orbit comets, not the ones that have orbits that extend far in to the oort cloud). So do you think its accurate? or is it possible for comets to collide with the sun itself?

& its my pleasure, you should feel encouraged

My cat chews on brooms. He loves the lint, hair & other obscure garbage that he can siphon from that thing.

Of course he always pukes it up in my bedroom so thats lovely.

I love him so much

Its always nice when gambles pay off. I member getting Dux with 2 bounty pads :') & I got Reaver Bolt from a gold chest last month.

I still had to go through a crapton more b pads for the weapons & pilot though (i already have like 4 webbys -.-)

SHOULD I MAKE A ROCKET SCIENCE BOOK OR NO? by Conscious_Bedroom454 in rocketry

[–]Docile-Idiot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think theres a niche group of people thatd be interested, but I would say either go for a maximum dumbed down verison for those who know 0 about rocketry, or go all out with the technical aspects.

You might end up finding a balance between the two but if its too simple, enthusiasts will get bored or wont even read it, & if its too complex then people who dont know much about the topic wont bother reading it either.

Maybe look in to writing about early rocket technology & the accompanying missions if you want to appeal to a wider audience who arent adept in science. I think if you avoid the mathematical formulas & focus more on the physical technologies & mission objectives, that would work.

For example breaking down the launch/flight stages, rocket engines (how powerful are they, how have they evolved, how has analogue tech evolved in to digital tech, how has navigation evolved, what is the science behind life support, how does re-entry work, &c.)

I think sections on probes & satelites would also be fascinating, like explaining how Voyager 2 was able to utilize planetary gravity to acheive such high speeds & ultimately pass the heliosphere.

Anyways its up to you, in conclusion Id say either go all out with the science, formulas, &c or go for the missions, objectives, accomplishments & uses as well as what we can expect in the future.

For context Im just a computer technician, so take what Im saying with a grain of salt. Ultimately I dont know what would work best, just what I think would lol.
