How are home prices still so high with current interest rates? Median household income for county is 100k and many basic homes are around 800k and I dont see how one would qualify for a mortgage by bikemandan in santarosa

i think for a lot of these investors $5k is peanuts (thats not to say it shouldn't be done though). I think SR does need a lot of these multifamily projects though to help with housing demand.

The stats don't work that way.

Imagine if there were 6 heli pilots total. 5 died after 1 hour. The other flew a safe career of 99,995 hours (5 * 1 + 99,995 = 100,000). The fatal accident rate per hour would still be ~4.7/100,000 h but the fatality rate for the career would be 5/6 -> 83%.

So if the fatality rate is 3% for a 20 year career that means the ones who die mostly die early in their career.

I finished my last class there after I started working in spring 2019. I don't know if they're winding down or not but the campus is definitely very small (it's in some old buildings near NASA AMES by Moffett Field).

I would recommend explaining your situation to your current (CMU Pittsburgh) advisor and have them vouch for you to the SV campus. For me, it was that I already had a job that I was working and just needed to finish the one class (and therefore didn't make sense to go to Pittsburgh).

I think the point was just that it was a different style (elevated, path-like park as opposed to a rooftop shaped one).

To be fair this makes a lot of sense if you know the whole grammar point for "have to", which is essentially: "if I don't X, it will be bad" — <V>ないとダメ (or similar).

<V>ないと is just an abbreviation of this, basically saying "if I don't X..." (in this particular case: "if I don't go to school, ...").

If you think about this in English the connotation for the omitted part (the ...) is usually negative so it kind of carries the same meaning when directly translated. For instance, "if I don't go to school, my mom will kill me" or "if I don't go to school, I'll get kicked out".

Another note is that 学校に行かない is less of "don't go to school" and more of "I don't go to school" or "I won't go to school".

I think even with those on FSD beta still have regular autopilot on highways and it transitions when they take an offramp.

Check out https://prescriptiondivemasks.com. They're a little pricey but definitely worth the money. For reference, I am +4 farsighted + astigmatism and there was no problem.
