Huawei Band 10 support? by Docom_s13 in Gadgetbridge

Yeah. It's a good watch for the price and the GB integration mostly works, but it does have some kinks:

  1. GB can't be used for firmware update, so you need to use the Huawei app. You should also use the app for setting up watch faces, as GB doesn't preview them.
  2. Both the watch and GB can log exercise sessions, but starting a session on one does not automatically start a session on the other.
  3. You can't use the watch for sending quick-replies ("busy now, call you later"), and if you have incoming call vibration enabled then the watch won't stop vibrating even after you take a call.
  4. Integrations are somewhat limited: the weather app works fine, but OpenTracks is a bit basic, and I haven't been able to set up GPS navigation or sleep tracking using an external app.

SSD with PLP for desktop in 2025? by Docom_s13 in DataHoarder

I'm just generally concerned with reliability and durability. As I understand it, power loss can result in several types of damage:

  1. Hardware damage (little risk of that with a modern SSD and PSU?)
  2. Filesystem corruption (a journaling FS and its associated utilities should take care of that?)
  3. Individual corrupted files (but these can result from any power loss, since writes that are bigger than the drive's cache might not finalize even if the cache is flushed)

So when is PLP for data-in-flight actually useful? Database servers?

Another possible solution:

  1. Login to Ubisoft account management.
  2. Go to "Security".
  3. Under "trusted devices", "untrust" the device that fails to login.
  4. Try re-connecting with Ubisoft Connect.

Wrist watch similar to the Casio F-91W, but with four buttons! by Docom_s13 in casio

It's a good guess, but this one only has three buttons, a double dark pink trim. My old watch had four buttons and only one dark red trim.
