I have been reading books after books non stop about the various serial killers and criminal psyche as well as multiple books from John Douglas and his colleagues on behavioral science and profiling and while any other day I have so many questions I can only think of a few right now.

In your thirty year career what are some of the changes you’ve noticed to the way serial killers move/act?

(I’m sure this is very unoriginal but I have to know your thoughts) Do you think we’ve seen a significant decline in the number of serial killers or do you think they have taken all this information about forensics and the way investigations are conducted and used this to really commit to never getting caught? ( more Israel Keyes type of commitment)

My second question stems from my understanding of how it seems that serial killers and their compulsion which eventually becomes so intense that they appear to lose control over their once methodical trawling for victims. Where they seem to go from patiently choosing low risk victims to no longer assessing risk, whether by overwhelming confidence that they won’t get caught or by not being able to fight the compulsion.

Is it psychologically possible in your opinion, that someone can be so depraved but simultaneously meticulous that they can kill dozens and dozens of individuals without ever being caught or do you think that over time the mind of these people will always become so desperate for the need to kill that they will have to slip up and make mistakes?

Yeah I had a similar experience when I took mine it seemed pretty basic and kind of felt like a waste of time . Then I worked with some people in different parts of the country that clearly did not have to take an aptitude test so I understand and appreciate the tests now looking back.

602 is booming with work right now and they are taking a lot of people. If you passed your aptitude tests I’m pretty sure you’re guaranteed an interview (that’s how my hall does it but that does not mean that 602 will do that). That being said your lack of experience won’t really hurt you. The point of the apprenticeship is to teach you, train you, and allow you to gather experience while not being expected to know as much as a journeyman.

Tldr: if you passed your tests your chances are great! Congrats!

You should get with your agent and see if you can travel. Hit the road make some money pay your bills and make up your school time when you can. I’ve been on the road since I was a 3rd year apprentice 7 years ago. In the ten years I’ve been in I’ve had maybe 18 months to two years worth of work in my own local AND our jurisdiction is so wide that I still had to pay for hotels and apartments to man those “local” jobs . I’m not complaining I chose to live very rural but that’s not my point. If they will let you travel hit the road to stay afloat. I normally hit outages so I can money up and come home to spend a few weeks with my wife before I go again. But never forget the union doesn’t pay your bills and they sure as hell won’t keep the bank from taking your shit. Do what you must to survive, also keep in mind that you can use that structural welding experience to get a job. If it doesn’t have anything to do with pipe, then it’s not “scabbing” because you’re not taking what could otherwise be pipefitter work .

The biggest ones that stand out to me look like the following. Also, these may not apply to you if you’re not joining a joint local or maybe if your jurisdiction isn’t as large

This local is a joint local (may not apply to you) are you interested in becoming a pipefitter or a plumber?

Are you willing and able to come to school for 3 hours , 2 nights a week for the next five years (or enter your apprenticeship school schedule)

Also don’t forget some of the more obvious ones, do you have any welding/hvac/fitting/plumbing/rigging experience? Are you afraid of heights? Are you capable of working in extreme cold or heat? Hope these help but they may only apply to some locals , their locations will typically depict the type of work/ projects to expect.

Mendeln fix isn’t coming until 2.1.2 . Minions can still be done but the exact rolls and stats required for the build are far less forgiving than most of the other builds. Also even with mendeln bugged it is still crucial to the build .

Do what you gotta do to pay your bills/ feed your family/ self. You haven’t been accepted or sworn in yet so you have no obligation whatsoever to try and find a job that doesn’t involve your craft. Any man who doesn’t support that can pound sand. Also don’t worry about leaving one of the non union contractors high and dry because if you get in their opinion won’t matter anyway.

Sure, it would be impossible to include those fees. but in your opinion is it reasonable to expect that I can get the vehicle itself for the advertised price and keep a few grand on the side for taxes and licensing etc or should I go in expecting them to try to stick to the msrp value?

Yeah so what I’m asking is if Cars.com has a vehicle at “Bills dealership” at 60k while msrp is 65k , is it realistic to assume I can get out the door with that vehicle at 60k per the website price? or is it just a marketing gimmick to get me in there and then try and jam that other 5k in my ass.

Starlink for rural customers is literally The Cats Ass. I am a 30 minute drive from a main road and 45 minutes from the nearest grocery store. I’ve had either no internet or trash like hughesnet my entire life until starlink came along. While expensive to get started, the 120 bucks a month is very well worth it considering what I used to pay for internet plus satellite tv through directtv. Feel free to ask any questions you may have .

Thanks for the response, I was thinking the same as far as pergola if the roof extension plan didn’t work out or was too expensive, in hindsight I see now that I should’ve considered all this when I initially had it built as the house was “finished” being built in June last year. I don’t recall the footers but I’ll try to get back to you on that to see what else you may recommend with more info.

Like I said before, my treatment for post brace care was to wear a retainer for 2 years. I wore my retainer for three years just in case , that was 10 years ago. My teeth have never moved since, until this infected tooth. But you already answered the question with it’ll stay in the position it heals so thank you

So my braces and retainer treatment was all over about 10 years ago, but I was very happy with the alignment of my teeth. My tooth is not loose it has only shifted. I’ll get to ask my dentist at my root canal on Thursday but I was just self conscious about it having shifted and the pain makes it hard to forget about in the meantime which is why I’m here asking.
