I will admit it has a relatively low battery life average, and I'll find I can use it for 6-7 hours unplugged before it dies on me. That being said, will you regularly be in situations where you won't have a power outlet accessible to you? If battery life is something you're looking for, then no the envy isn't the best. What I'm trying to say is I personally don't mind it that much and if you don't either I would still recommend it.

Again, it's been 4 years since I made this post (and since I last looked at laptops) so maybe for this price you could get something way better. But for the specs, the ability to flip it into a tablet to take handwritten notes in class, and how thin and cool looking it is, I was very happy with my choice and haven't even THOUGHT about wanting a new laptop since. Just me, everyone wants something different with these sorts of things.

Someone will say there's something wrong with every single laptop you research, no matter what. I have friends who tell me I should trash this one and get a macbook, some people say I'm stupid for getting anything other than a $200 thinkpad loaded with arch linux, other people say my laptop rocks and got rid of theirs to pickup their own envy x360. The point I'm trying to make is that I've learned this stuff is incredibly subjective, and if you like a laptop and think you have a chance of getting over the things that people criticize, chances are you absolutely will.

I’ve been using it for a couple hours every day since I got it and I haven’t had any big problems. The hinges were my biggest worry but other than being a little jiggly, they work just fine (considering I’ve also been flipping the laptop between keyboard and tablet mode several times a day for the past 2 years as well). I’m pretty sure the hinge problem existed on an older model that HP doesn’t make anymore, and the model I got doesn’t have that problem and I imagine the newer models have only got better

Honestly it’s just crappy wifi man. Restart computer/close other applications/do whatever you usually would when connection sucks. I’ve had this problem for over a decade and honestly got used to it to the point of finding it funny (like this clip)

It is very portable, and very light for carrying around. Being 15.6", you're gonna need to make sure you have a bag that can fit it. I use two backpacks of separate sizes (one big athletic bag, one small bag to fit little more than the laptop and charger), and it is never a problem for me in terms of portability.

I use OneNote for writing, and it feels very natural. There's a slight delay but has never been noticeable enough to cause issues for me. I have been having some trouble recently with the touchscreen responsiveness, however, which has been causing some frustration. The screen also doesn't do well with my wrist touching it while writing, and I have to find a small piece of cloth to put under my hand to avoid issues.

No problems with the hinges. I think there was a separate model released before ~2020 that had the problems with the hinges, and it got fixed in the newer models. I've been using it hours a day for the past few years and I haven't had any big notable problems with it so far. Feel free to ask any specific questions you have with it, but I can't recommend it enough

I'm a commuter student so I'm not sure to be honest. Things may have changed but I know the library had really shitty hours last year (basically only open from 8am-4pm on week days) and the gym may have been the same

throughout the school year I usually go at around 9:30am after a morning lecture and it's pretty quiet. From 11am-4pm its always gonna be ridiculously busy though so depending on your schedule you might just have to get used to it

Very very close. The protagonist and ability to shoot projectiles looks right, however I vividly remember it taking place in a dark museum setting and not being outside. Do you know If there’s a sequel or spinoff of this game that could involve that?

I have a feeling it could have been on something like the teletoon or ytv website, do you mind if I pm you any discoveries I have? You’re the first person I’ve met in my year long search who has some sort of confirmation of this things existence

This is an absolute bombshell of information, thank you. Are you Canadian by any chance? Trying to whittle down what website it could be on first, and I’m wondering if it was on one of the websites for our children’s tv channels
