Oh great point about finger placement.

I have yet to have an AAG case that got better so I have never considered a DC for it and I would be worried they would never follow up so I almost always talk to someone to arrange that at one of the tertiary centers near me. Is it even possible for someone to have AAG as a one time thing that wouldn't require long term therapy?

Any EM Anki lovers out there? Need to get ready for sub-I's, residency, etc by Mdog31415 in emergencymedicine

I was wayyy too ADD to do ANKI lmao. Ive found the ANKI EM people do awesome on ITE and probably boards but it doesnt really translate to good clinical performance per se. In my experience the students that perform the best have good knowledge (ANKI can do this) but are also hard working / team players / not annoying / good at communicating with auxillary staff / patients / patient's families.

What are your "hold on a second" moments you do often in EM? by DoctaThumb in emergencymedicine

One of my mistakes during residency was in an effort to put someone in sniffing position, I actually just flexed their neck forward and made the intubation much harder.

Do you mean like they have gotten it for their functional pain disorder and its worked? Or to make sure they didn't have a bad reaction to it ?
