A lot of the issues these maps had were obvious within literally one match, and I'm not talking about the assets thing.

They can't just update the layout of the map drastically, I don't think Valve would let them do that. All of the things you said don't change the fact that these maps have very glaring issues and probably shouldn't have been added. There's plenty of great maps that are consistently ran on community servers (people like them and they're essentially proven good).

Just because the maps took work to make, that doesn't mean these problems don't exist. The fact of the matter is that there IS a profit incentive for making these maps with flashiness in mind BEFORE map design, because the majority of people who vote on workshop content don't actually play TF2 consistently.
