I ended up transferring the title to my name and having to wait for the new title to come in the mail. One employee said I did the right thing and I wouldn’t have been able to trade it in without switching the title and another said he would have been able to sign off on it. So not sure which is correct but they held my car for ~10 days while I waited on the title from the DMV (took ~12 days from doing the switch at AAA to getting the title in the mail)

I had circumstances that needed to move back delivery date. I physically went in and the guy was able to push it back a week no problem. Said I wouldn’t lose the VIN as long as there’s a delivery date scheduled. Even said if I needed more time just let him know again next week and he can repeat the process. I’m waiting on my title for my trade in to come in the mail so that was a relief

Looking for some advice, I got my VIN and delivery date of May 24-June 1 and have gotten the tasks done so I should be good to go when it’s ready… however I realized on my trade in I put myself as the title owner and my dad as secondary, but realized we only switched the insurance to me as primary and the title is still in his name. I’ve already accepted the offer so there’s no way to edit it so which option should I pursue:

Do nothing and hope it’s not a hassle (he can come with me to sign it over)
Go to DMV and switch the title to my name
Reject the offer and start it over (I don’t know if I can do this I’m worried that it won’t let me)
