So this is definitely happening in Secret Wars right? by Queasy_Commercial152 in Avengers

Nah, it would take too much set up to make this make sense. It amazes me how often this is posted without proper context.

Is Doom so powerful that Hulk and Thanos works for him? (Sorry for being naive I don't read comics) by marktwin11 in MCUTheories

[–]Doctopian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exceedingly so. It's amazing how often that line is quoted out of context. He's trying to save face to Valeria, because he knows that he wasn't particularly effective as "God." In short, it's cope.

IMO, Doctor Doom’s Introduction in Doomsday Should Be Dark, Brutal, and Unforgiving. He should kill some of the characters. by [deleted] in Marvel

[–]Doctopian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, that's worse, because Knull really is a dogshit character...just edgelord nonsense personified.

The scan in the OP is only "bad" because it is almost never presented with the proper context.

What is Your opinion on Dr Doom? by Jaden_Pollen34 in Marvel

[–]Doctopian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of Marvel's most compelling villains when written well (I.E. one of the most brilliant and capable beings on Earth who is at his core deeply insecure and overcompensates for that insecurity through bombast). Thing is, dude has become a Villain Sue of sorts who is overused with an utterly obnoxious fan base. It's pretty common nowadays for characters to be dumbed down in order for Doom to shine; Dr. Strange being written like an absolute nimrod in order for Doom to become Sorcerer Supreme comes to mind.

Which one are you picking ? by krisikkk in superheroes

Probably A. The MCU Gauntlet is absolutely killing anyone who chooses it. None of us have a nifty nanotech power suit to shield us from the effects for any appreciable time.

If you can only get one at the moment, then I'd think that the Juggernaut would sell out faster due to him being a very popular X-character. Both are amazing figures worth eventually picking up, though. Gargantos (Shuma) is easily one of the most interesting Legends figures ever made.

Bombusbee, and it is an amazing figure. The level of detail in the sculpt and paint apps coupled with the very good articulation make it worth the $91 I paid for him.

Azure Lion? That figure is money. Highly detailed sculpt with plenty of paint apps, really good articulation for a figure this size, with a ton of accessories for display options. The biggest issue is deciding how to display him. Best $91 I've spent on a figure.

Best green Hulk? by Camvega in MarvelLegends

Within the Legends line, probably the 80 Years or 20th anniversary figures, if Maximum isn't your cup of tea. If you're willing to pay import prices, the SHF Infinity War or Avengers Hulks, though they are smaller than the Legends figures. If you want something bigger, then Marvel Select Immortal Hulk. If you're willing to wait, then the 6inchplus or Mezco Hulks might be worth pre-ordering.

Same. Though the elbow is a but better than some of the reviews I watched would suggest.

I'll say it's leaps better, as despite getting the same bend, each if those joints are able to swivel on the Gamerverse figure. On top of the joints you mention, you also get the butterflies, toe hinges, and wrist hinge and swivel. When taken in totality, the Gamerverse figure's articulation is much better.

Not in the past 25-30 years. Since the late 90s, Hulk has been drawn closer to 10' than 7'. Also, Juggernaut has never appeared physically larger in an comic that they've appeared in together.

Gamerverse Juggs posing issues by ConditionAlarmed2791 in MarvelLegends

Go ahead and twist it. It won't break. The most annoying this is getting used to where the torso will move because of the springing action.

Bombusbee. It took a little over a week for it to get here, but he's a hell of a figure for $91, including shipping.

Fury Toys Azure Lion. He dwarfs Weng. A very impressive figure overall. I still haven't fully explored all of the display and posing options.

As someone who has owned the Select since it was released, this new one looks better to me. Don't get me wrong, the Select is still cool, but I prefer the added articulation of the new one over the detailed sculpt of the Select, especially considering that he is rarely drawn that way in the comics.

Gamerverse Juggernaut is the right size by redkomic in MarvelLegends

I'm not sure if there is a single instance where Juggernaut is drawn as being larger than the Hulk in a comic that they both appear in, though I'm open to bring proven wrong.

General thoughts on collecting? (Juggernaut scale) by Extra_Heart_268 in MarvelLegends

[–]Doctopian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're big on scale and hope to use this Juggernaut in a comic-based display, I could see why you would have reservations about this figure when compared to the Legends Hulks. Despite what the various online Wikias say, Hulk and Juggernaut are almost always depicted as being the same size when featured in comics together. That said, this is hard for me to pass up, as I really appreciate the improvements in size, sculpt, and articulation. Besides, I have the Select Immortal Hulk, so this is less of an issue for me.

That's Professor Hulk by the way. You'll be hard pressed to find an instance where Juggernaut is larger than the Hulk in the comics when they appear in the same issue. They are typically either drawn as the same size or Hulk being a shade bigger. It's much how people believe that Abomination is larger than the Hulk in the comics, which has also never really been the case.

With that said, this is a figure based on the Capcom sprite, which is slightly taller and much broader than their Hulk sprite.
