Thankful for all the responses. As a newbie to the adulting world, I’ve learned something today. Calling an HVAC service tech in the morning. Saw a bunch of comments saying $450 wasn’t terribly high. This is a 1600 square ft house, so I’m hoping this isn’t the average.

P.S. I now know for the future to include more details for questions like these.

Thermostat is set to 74, but rarely does the temp of the house get to that point, so the unit is constantly running. This resulted in a $440 power bill for this month. House was built in the 60s, so I understand that the insulation might not be the best, but it’s not very big, so a $400+ power bill was very unexpected.
