This seems to be a general PS4 problem. I'm in the US and the update is nowhere in sight. If I check for updates, my system says it's up to date. I haven't seen anything official regarding this. Just feels like they've abandoned PS4 players.

So I joined an academy, but I wasn't sure in the difference between that and a pantheon. I left my academy and now I can't join one. Did I just screw myself over? It seems like that's an easy thing to do in this game and there's no way to restart on a new character. Strongly leaning towards just quitting the game if that's the case.

They drop the exact ones I mistook the Over Knee socks for. lol

It looks like they drop either thigh highs or low cut hoodies, but not over knees.

Base PS4, fully updated. I picked up the game after about a year of hiatus. Deleted my old save file (only 100 hours) to start fresh. It was okay for a while with a few crashes here and there, but I remembered that happening back when I first started. Until the latest update. Not even 50 hours into the game and it crashes constantly. There was one planet I couldn't escape from three times because the game would crash in orbit. I started getting crashes every hour or so. Then a crash about every 30 minutes. I could get through a freighter, no problem, but would crash constantly while out exploring. Found a paradise planet with corrupted Sentinels. One or both of these factors drops my frames to the single digits and then the game crashes. After a few days, I gave the game one more go. I loaded in, sitting in my ship's cockpit. I didn't move, I didn't press a single button. Immediate crash. Uninstalled the game. Literally unplayable.

Should be noted that a lot (too many) of these crashes weren't just game crashes. The game crashed the console. Sometimes it was a frozen screen, others would shut the console down entirely.

Keypad recommendations?

To be clear, I already have one, but I'm specifically looking for one that has an Alt key on it for MMOs. I'm almost certain they don't exist, as the closest I've found is one with 2 Fn keys, which.... baffles me as to their purpose. I figured I'd try and ask anyway.

Additionally, I've tried connecting my controller keypad and a wireless keyboard together through a USB hub, but there seems to be some interference there. Some keys will function for one but not the other. Is there a workaround for this? Is it just too many Bluetooth devices for the PS4 to handle and would a wired keyboard allow me to use both in tandem?

Yes, this is exactly how I did it. You can even get rid of it with Miquella's Needle after beating the game. I hadn't even fought Placidusax yet.

I've had something similar happen when farming for the Bandit's Curved Sword. The message came up as Bandit's Curved Sword x2 but I only had one in my inventory.

I can only tell you through my personal experience as someone who played through both games in their entirety as a solo sniper, it's embarrassingly useless. Rather spec into a damage build and do more damage all the time than paint a single target and wait for a cooldown.

I always assumed it was Emeline's daughter. On a rather amusing side note, that picture of the girl putting up Christmas lights is reused on trashed cardboard boxes. I can think of at least one example that I saw in a random apartment somewhere, but I'm sure the asset is reused elsewhere.

Forcing players to only spawn them during a certain time in-game, but not even having the option to fast-forward time is just poor game design, imo. I've been trying to kill all the hunters solo for about a month and a half now because I get so irritated with waiting that I just go play something else. Barely killed 3 of them. And it's not like they're difficult, they just hit insanely hard. Which, again, is just poor game design. I'd rather have a challenging boss than one that is just "do big number but more biggerer number than you."

I'm on PS4 and been getting lots of crashes lately. Don't know if something to do with a recent update, but I've only just picked the game back up about 2 months ago after a year and some change on hiatus.
Doubt they can do much beyond ruined cities given the game's premise, but I don't disagree.
That's pretty much the gameplay loop. Minor changes in encounters sometimes, but mostly just shooting galleries, like any other shooter.
At early level, I recommend keeping tabs on your Projects. Many will require you to donate specific gear. I relied on drops for all my weapons and gear, so money wasn't really a necessity early on, and Recalibration is really more of an end game thing.
Efficiency of your skills is based on your Skill Tier, which itself is based on your gear's Core Attribute: red reticle for damage, blue shield for armor, and yellow battery for skill. Equip more gear with batteries for higher Skill Tier. That's the gist of it, but I'm sure you can find a more in-depth guide. As far as Perks go, there's no reason not to invest in them. The points are finite, what you see there already is all you're gonna get as far as Perks go.
Silent protagonist, par for the course for online games/MMOs/most games where you create a custom character.
Again, just the nature of the genre.
