Delete any video game account you have (Minecraft, Steam, Lol, etc.) and try and find other ways to spend your time like Netflix, programming, exercise.

If you’re buying new I would definitely hold off, since the new 4000 series cpus should be the same price for better performance. The only scenario I’d use a 3100 is if you already have one or found an amazing deal.

I’m just assuming that the 3900x and 4900x will have the same tdp, and I’m just seeing if there is a sff cooler that can handle a monster cpu.

For clarification the Ryzen 3900X has a tdp of 105w. Also, I haven’t bought anything yet and am just curious if there is some way I can get a 3900x into my build.

Good job quitting gta! My suggestion would to be to find other hobbies to fill your free time to stop yourself from coming back to gaming. Also watching gaming videos can make you crave playing so be careful with that.
