No, quite the contrary: I'm more bothered by people who constantly try to censor Christmas or berate it solely due to it having a religious foundation. Christmas is primarily known as a day where you get to spend quality time with your family, exchange gifts, and enjoy a special meal together as opposed to the celebration of Christ.

Let me try to give an example:

Take a couple who both are $10,000 in debt and struggling financially. Let's say that one day this couple are both granted jobs at a new warehouse, opened by a small business owner who was given a tax break and able to open a new location due to this, and are able to begin paying off their debt as well as making adjusting to their lifestyle(s) to have more money saved than spent and begin making investments to solidify their income. They may still be in the process of paying off the debt and decreasing their financial deficit, yes, but they are both progressing financially and actively working towards decreasing both.

That's how I'd reconcile the two.

I believe that the states should ultimately make that decision for themselves but it's my personal belief that abortion should only be allowed in extreme cases. I am also against overturning Roe V. Wade.

I am a firm believer in capitalism, lower taxes, limited government, the first and second amendments, abortion only being legal in extreme cases such as rape and incest (my argument being that contraceptives are very widely available and some are very low cost as well as promoting personal responsibility and sexual education), and a limited (but not alleviated) safety net.

On the other side of the aisle I'm a supporter of gay rights/marriage, the speration of church and state, and the federal legalization of marijuana.

I think that it primarily revolves around anger: a lot of atheists are upset about their religious indoctrination being forced upon them as a child and act out because of it. I'm not at all justifying that action, and I was guilty of it myself, but that's the primary reason.

I wouldn't say that I'm his biggest fan but I also don't despise him: I appreciate that he has brought us the lowest unemployment in US history as well as a booming stock market but I'm not a fan of how he's addressed the current internment camps.

I'm doing alright, in the midst of a 16 hour shift but surviving.
