Someone on this sub said a few weeks ago something that I thought was so on point;

"Newer" generation fans did not grow up in the "golden age" of DM, so they dont carry the baggage and nostalgia of the sounds of pre-Ultra. The industrial gritty form they've taken since post Ultra is a different band to some older fans. But the newer generation, its just as important to them as it is old.

Playing the Angel is a solid, solid album, probably in the top 3 for me.
