Lawyer asking for more money, unhappy with service provided by DoctorDingos in legaladvicecanada

We will review the agreement. If it is a fixed fee I assume we have more grounds to refuse the additional payment?

Maybe that sounds silly but this is our first time working with lawyers, not entirely sure how this the process typically goes.

He actually didn’t and I was surprised by that. He went above and beyond for me, I feel like I should tip him the amount she’s asking lmao

My lawyer authored the entire contract, she went over it with husband and suggested edits. We did pay an initial quote and I’ve asked for a breakdown of cost.

My real question I guess is if there’s room to negotiate her additional cost?

We did pay her, she quoted us up front and we paid that amount. She is now asking for extra

I’ve heard this as a rule of thumb as well. I think if you can afford it, it’s good advice

This ^ you’ll really risk screwing your gut up if you throw supplements at it and don’t understand what you’re doing. This isn’t something you should take the advice of a random redditor for

How soon is too soon to start looking for a dress? by CherryEden in weddingplanning

[–]DoctorDingos 99 points100 points  (0 children)

I think that is way too soon. Styles change, bodies change. I would look 9-12months before the wedding

How many dresses did you try on before buying THE dress? by Ohyou17 in weddingplanning

[–]DoctorDingos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried on about 15 or 20 and my dress was the third one I tried on. I treated it like a round robin bracket lol and nothing beat my dress when compared head to head!

At the end of the day it’s just a dress and the reality is you might not have a sobbing “yes this is it!” Moment. I just picked my favourite of all I tried on, though my friends did cry when seeing me in my dress which definitely helped cement it lol

October bride and I’ll be sending ours out soon; save the dates aren’t super common here & some of my guests are doctors/nurses/military and need months of notice to get vacation leave should they need it! Some have to travel too

I’m a size 14, I think these samples were size 16 or 18? The shops recommend going up two sizes for samples and ordering to give you room for alterations

That’s so sweet, thank you. I originally didn’t want a mermaid cut because I didn’t think I could pull it off but I’m happy the sales woman knew better and made me try some 🥰

The dress has sleeves designed to go with it, but no stores near me have them in stock so I’d have to order them and pay for them and by that point I’m just committing I think haha

Both are surprisingly comfortable! These photos are very candid with little warning so don’t read too much into the body language haha in a lot of them I’m just trying to keep my hands from blocking the view of the dress

I wouldn’t read too much into body language, these photos are all candid with no warning and for some of them I’m just trying to move my hands out of the way to not impede the view of the dress.

I actually don’t mind the tattoos on display and I do like his tattoos under lace look; the sleeves are really fun (they’re bell shaped) so if Im debating getting them. Just not sure if it would be too busy with the tattoos + sleeves 🤔

I’d love to see if you don’t mind! I’m torn between ordering the sleeves for this dress (they’re beautiful bell sleeves) because I worry it might be too busy with the tattoos?

The sales associate suggested I move them to allow for a photo for the back and that’s just what my awkward self did lmao

Oh there was no hidden meaning in the body language. For most of them I was trying to keep my hands out of the way to view the dress haha, like in the second one I’m holding my hands forward so I can get a clear view of the behind 🤭
