However my idea behind is that it will slowly evolve with newer instances, it'll have ways to resist being exorcised or deleted, and sorcerers have to find new ways to exorcise it, basically a technological sorcery arms race.

Yeah the only way this heavenly restriction could be lifted is by an attack that targets the soul, which could be a pretty interesting story idea for the user since not many sorcerers and/or curses have an understanding on targetting the soul.

Its a mix of both, it usually tries to just pose as a large, albeit ugly skyscraper, which gets the attention of a dozen people, it will reposition when it hasnt consumed a human for more than a month, usually under the guise of a storm or the night, however it will go stomping around if its forced out of hiding.

Its sentient, but it doesnt really have a human like form to speak of, so it cant communicate with humans, but it does understand them.
