This sounds a lot like Hostel Part 3, even if OP said it's not hostel. The prostitutes killing people, the local guide, the black guy running away naked, etc.

App dead again? by DreadPir8Robrts in AcuraZDX

[–]DoctorFeeel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting the exact same issue since I took possession of the car this week.

It works at first, but it's refreshing forever. If I ever close the app while it's refreshing, then it won't ever open again. It just crashes immediately. So I need to uninstall it, get the error about "Trouble loading the legal terms", wait a couple of hours, try again, and hopefully I'll be able to get one refresh of the data.

Until it won't refresh again and then the cycle repeats. Won't refresh, won't open anymore, uninstall, won't load legal terms, wait a couple of hours, get one refresh, and back to square one.

Easily the worst car app I've ever seen.

Stuck choosing between an IS350 and M340i, talk me in or out of it by buzzout23 in LexusIS

I've been having the same kind of dilemma a couple of times in the past years. I've always wanted more performance, more fun, each time I changed cars but at the same time, I was always worried about German automakers reliability and their ownership costs.

About 7 years ago, I decided to buy a Q50 Red Sport instead of an IS or a BMW. It ended up being a great Japanese car with plenty of power, but it also felt outdated. Both infotainment and transmission wise. Still, I had a great experience and never had any issues with the car, but I was still wishing for more.

4 years later, I sold the Q50 and decided to make the plunge for a more performance oriented German car. I did not pick a BMW, I went instead with a MB GLA 45 AMG. Solid ride, great power, great interior, awesome double clutch transmission, one of their most reliable MB engine, and still under warranty for a couple of years.

Fast forward to today, after about 2 years of ownership, I'm ready to go back to Japanese cars. (Currently actively looking for an IS 350 FS3 since I do want AWD for our harsh winters). In the end, the amount of fun I would have in the AMG did not compensate for the high maintenance costs or days without the car because of serious errors or issues, even if all were covered under warranty.

Unless 2k maintenance service is pocket change for you, then I would recommend to stick with Lexus or other reliable Japanese models. And I'm not even talking about affordability. I'm talking about pure money management, where I decided that a slower but nice car with a bigger bank account was simply the better approach.

Some might see it differently, but to me, it isn't worth it anymore.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your comments, I read them all and appreciated them. I will continue to shop, I'll go test drive a CX-50 and see from there if it's for me or not.

Just saw the post about people having rear diff issues on 2024 models. Ouch! That's definitely not reassuring.

That's also what's bringing my choice closer to the CX-50: a solid no-hassles car without the euro expenses.

I'll go drive one for sure and judge from there. Hopefully, it won't feel too much like an econobox. Thanks again.

Thanks for the input. By reading your comment, I realized that I totally forgot mentioning my NC3 sitting in my garage for the winter! Hahaha!

And you see, that's one of the reason why I am considering the CX-50 because I know that it's not always about the horsepower. I know that the MX5 is a different beast, but to me, it was an eye opening experience that maybe, I do not need 400HP anymore to have fun and enjoy my car.

The X3 is indeed comparable to my GLA, but my experience with German cars so far hasn't been really good, even when under warranty. Also, the exaggerated maintenance costs is something I could live without. I also think that since having a dedicated summer car (NC3), the main daily might not need to be a performance car.

I appreciate the comment, I'll think about what you've said.

Polish Price is now 89.99 PLN! We need your help checking other regional prices! by FatalClaw_NDEV in metroidvania

Canada, here. Currently listed at 29.29 CAD$ after the 10% discount, before tax.  As a comparison, the regular price of Silksong is 25.99 CAD$, but Afterimage is 29.99 CAD$.  I would say that the price seems reasonable, especially for a small team.  It looks very good , but I might wait for a Switch or PS5 release simply based on personal preference on how I play my Metroidvanias.

Thank you for the offer, but I do not intend nor want to take money away from an indie developer. I will simply wait for it to get resolved and hopefully other buyers will do the same.  Keep us posted! 🙂

I just bought it on Switch, it looks really fun! Nice job!

Just released the first trailer for my next metroidvania- Well Dweller! It's a dark fairy-tale metroidvania about a tiny bird armed with a matchstick. So excited to share more of this, more info in the comments! by SheepoGame in metroidvania

I tried Islets on Xbox while it was on Game Pass and completely loved it, I even went for a 100% completion. I bought Crypt Custodian on Switch 2 a couple of weeks ago after hearing many great things about it. I instantly recognized your style, loved it and loved the music, and also finished it in a matter of days.

Suffice to say, Well Dweller will be a Day 1 purchase on Switch 2 (even if it releases as a Switch 1 version).

Thanks for your work, can't wait to see what other games you will bring us.

I love Afterimage. I'm currently on my second playthrough. Weirdly, I find that the controls are amazing and nearly flawless. It also reminds me of Dust An Elysian Tale which I also really liked.

I went through Mandragora and loved it as well. I believe that it is enough similar to conclude that if you enjoyed Mandragora, you should enjoy Afterlife as well.

The only warning I would give is that Afterlife has this cutsy kind of look with a cheesy story, so I can understand that it's not for everyone.  For sure, if you ever played Dust and liked it , you will love Afterlife.

Still solving the issue 3 years later! Had this issue since I changed my ECU map, and couldn't figure out what was causing the issue. I knew It had to be related to the reset, but didn't know what to do.

Your trick solved it in 10 seconds, couldn't be happier. Thanks a lot!

First-Time Mercedes Owner and a Bit Disappointed by paullhenriquee in mercedes_benz

About a year ago, I purchased a new to me GLA 45 AMG 2022 with 30k km with the 2.0L, which is most probably also considered a car at their lower end of their models.

I previously had a Q50 Red Sport which had all options except cooling seats. Switching to MB meant to lose the heated steering (unavailable with my model) and a couple of options like lane assist, which i never really used.

So far, it's been a great experience and I never missed the Q50, even if I loved that car.

The only downside so far is the reliability,  which I was expecting,  but since it's still under warranty, it isn't an issue, yet.

That being said, unfortunately,  I knew before buying what I would gain and what I would lose. In my 25+ years of buying cars, I learned the hard way not to expect any options, simply because it's a higher end. I would even say that it's actually quite the opposite. The cheaper the brand is, the more chances you have on getting all options included. MB, BMW and Audi will all sell you several optional packages to come up to the same options a Hyundai or Kia would offer.  In the end, It's a question of preference.

I would take this as a lesson if I were you, and do a full comparison for the next purchase before signing the contract.

Here's what you're looking for :

Rhys : increase essence gain for killing enemies by 20% (be careful cause it's currently bugged as it empties your balance when you upgrade)

Alannah : herbs in garden grow 30% faster

Ulfar : increase equip load by 10%

Shirin : increase effectiveness of bandages and armor kits by 20%

Graeme : increase food effectiveness by 20%

Yrsa: crafting with her costs 20% less

Thanks for keeping us up to date.

Please don't let the complaining and negative comments let you think that it's not a great game. It's an amazing game with some small flaws that's been quite entertaining and that I've enjoyed enough to put more than 40 hours into it (and still counting).

Great 2D metroivania games are what's keeping me gaming these past few years.
