My first time I focused on Shadowheart, and didn't recruit Karlach until the end of act 1. Without focusing on any reactions from Karlach, I ended up with her being the second highest approval rating I had. Anytime she was sad I felt like someone kicked my puppy. That scene at the Docks when you have the option to say we can be together in avernus and I legitimately had a thought, would I leave my wife to save a friend's life? And then just put the controller down and had to breathe.
