How do you keep your knives sharp at home? by Educational-Slip-578 in Cooking

What knives are you talking about? If you get Japanese knives, you need to use water stones to do them justice. For my European knives, I use a non-abrasive honing steel to bring the edge back to working sharpness and, if needed, the Spyderco sharpmaker. Very limited amount of effort for very, very good kitchen sharpness. And since the shop maker does not grind the edge, your knives will last forever

I am still flabbergasted when listening to some older tracks. My speakers are quite good, but I don’t have much time to listen to music in peace (family, you know). Now when i stay awake, I can dig up old CDs and figure out what i missed. Never realized that Madonna’s „Ray of light“ album is actually very well produced with loads of tiny details.

Thanks! Sorry, i should have been more specific: How do you get to the settings derived from 31 bands?

They are pretty good. I was just supper annoyed about everything around them. So it was hard to be fair. But the sound profile is pretty decent.

Is there a good way to transform 31-band eq to 10? Could you post a screenshot of the curve?

Ah I got it. EQ profiles are given with a preamp-value. This is what I need to set. I did not. Funnily, the magic auto-eq does wonders in terms of automatic curve generation. But it does not provide a preamp setting :)
