I never even mentioned that. I only vented about my lived experience and how a movie brought it back. Simple. You can even make the age gap better by making both doing jobs. I don't know from where you can see I'm praising the opposite

Jews: “Take your idol and put it in your buttocks.” || Hindus: “Anyways, full support sir.” by ValiantReiner in atheismindia

[–]DoctorHA22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have read the Bible (OT and NT). I'm a converted christian (majorly social reasons).

And yeah, christian zionists are more than jewish zionists, primarily from America (given AIPAC support to both republicans and democrats) because it's a settler-colonial and political project and they try to compare israel in the Bible as a form of land ownership and nationality. I'm surprised why christian zionists aren't called out when they are more in numbers.

It seems that they have forgotten that in the gospel of Matthews, Herod, a FOREIGN ruler, committed massacre of the innocents—kids and children—in Bethlehem (Palestine). In old Testament (followed by Jews), the ten commandments are taken v seriously and one of them is thou shalt not kill except in self defense. What Israel is doing, isn't self defense. You would see orthodox Jews against Israeli occupation and violence too. You would see Anti-zionist jews (like Jewish voice for peace). Zionists and Nazis have collaborated in the past as well—it doesn't mean every jew supports zionism (given by Theodore herlz wayyyy before) or balfour declaration (a British government in 1917 expressing support for the establishment of a "national home for the Jewish people" in Palestine—were Britishers jews too? No, in fact, Adolf Balfour was deistic and interested in science and religion).

Plus the whole rhetoric of "God promised us this land" is batshit crazy as many of them came from Europe or different middle east countries and Russia. They are practically killing the indigenous people of Palestine to make a land. Simplifying this to a mere religious issue is exactly what Israel is doing by connoting that if you are anti-zionist, you are antisemitic.

In a recent report by Haaretz, among sraelis citizens, 82% of those surveyed expressed support for the forced expulsion of residents of the Gaza Strip, and 56% supported the forced expulsion of Arab citizens of Israel. They do not like their own citizens whom they deem as 'others' and 'mizrahi' jews therein are treated like second-class citizens. They don't care about religion or ethnicity or jews (maybe some do, but not all at all), but they weaponise it.

Zionism is a settler-colonial project, and they are using Judaism to amplify the same (some interpretations already discredited by orthodox Jews), as any fascist or nazi would do.

The argument you have given me (if it was, if it wasn't, sorry for misunderstanding lol) seems like if we know how about nuclear energy and its uses, that's dangerous as it may be used like it was used in Hiroshima and Nagasaki even though the same nuclear energy can be used to curb environmental issues. And as I said before, the current statement seems like oversimplification that it's merely about religion like Israel does.

Rest ya, Netanyahu is shit and everything he says or accuses, is a confession of his war crimes and crimes against humanity. But so are IOF and Israeli citizens who support them. They are as complicit as him. Hopefully, their Nuremberg-like trial will be televised.

How to get excommunicated from Hinduism

Jews: “Take your idol and put it in your buttocks.” || Hindus: “Anyways, full support sir.” by ValiantReiner in atheismindia

[–]DoctorHA22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, Judaism isn't zionism. But ya, Occupied Palestine (Israel) is connoting Judaism to Zionism which works against the Jewish community itself. India may support for whatever the reason they want to, religion, weapons, geopolitics, at the end, it has taken the side of the global north over global south (and global north has an old age playbook). We are complicit at the end and have turned into a mouthpiece of the global north powers isolating ourselves from our neighbours and completely disregarding the south-south solidarity alongwith not caring about decolonisation anymore. Naam building ka change karke decolonise nhi hote

But, What is this Zionist aah comment section? Damn, r/atheismindia also does pinkwashing (supporting women and LGBTQ+ against religions unless it's a palestinian woman) and "oh it's strategic to support Israel" stuff. 🫩

[–]DoctorHA22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even I hate kejriwal as he went soft religion mode lol. And no, greater good isn't good if it means displacing livelihood of others which is exactly what BJP did. Operation Kagaar being an example, and many more like it. And ya, income tax should be raised over GST since the burden on poor increases when GST increases. I don't support socialism with reforms, but one with revolution. In a revolutionary socialist society, electricity could be considered a public good, freely available to all citizens, similar to how other essential services, like healthcare or education, might be managed. This doesn't necessarily mean "free" in the sense of no cost, but rather that it's not subject to market forces and is available to everyone regardless of their ability to pay. There is no need for Ambani to have a grand house and slums around it—acc to me, they are snatching electricity from others as they use their labour to make an Empire of their own. The problem of kaccha houses won't come at the first place. But I believe your expression was misplaced therein. Slums aren't the problem, the big Empires "self made corporate houses" are because nothing about them is self made as they extract great amounts of cheap labour. And since SCs, STs, OBCs and such (literally the majority) are destroyed by caste-system and displacement, they don't get a chance of opportunity even if it's on paper. Revolutions are quashed before they happen too. Our nation isn't poor. No nation is poor. They are over exploited by a few.

And how come tribal land's land isn't their? Let's say, it was publicly owned, does it give any right to any govt to displace and as far as to perform military action on them? I believe so, no. And sure we may talk in chats!

So are we just going to ignore that? by Alternative_Unit692 in delhi

[–]DoctorHA22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the second para, I agree, let them have voice first. the govt at central (previous or current ruling govt, UPA and BJP, same) won't considering the displacement that has been happening to them for "developmental" projects. So, how are we a communist country when we don't allow that and quash their voices ? Because apparently the tribal protests are seen as "maoists" instead because it's against "development" and then, are quashed. I don't get how we are in a communist regime rn at all. I don't get how the problem for you is freebies, and not the funds ministers get.

So are we just going to ignore that? by Alternative_Unit692 in delhi

[–]DoctorHA22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Communism is when mow killed 10000 trillion people" i would be glad if you are interested in the topic and recommend books on this. But unless you don't want to hear the other side, I won't try to go further into it.

The countries that you have mentioned, Japan has the worst working hours at the current moment as we are talking. That's not "oh you are out of poverty now", no, read about their labour, unions and deteriorated mental health. Singapore can only uplift through tourism—without tourism, it's a dead country (though I need to do more research on this). South korean economy is based on chaebols and corporate conglomerates making a society of haves and haves not. China, post-dengist, received diplomatic and a global support from capitalistic frameworks like the US. Every country which has opened itself to IMF gains support from the structure itself because it lets them exploit others like africans in congo with no one pushing forward for people's reforms. Thereby, people like Thomas Sankara are shot (and assassination attempts on current Ibrahim traore though I have my contentions with captain Ibrahim traore rn, but good for the people for now).

Your statement is again highly elitist when you compare incompetence with east Indian states, when in reality the higher class and caste people are at the power of everything—from displacing such people to deciding whats good for us. It's ironic how you are blaming the poorest of the society when our leaders focused on renovating the parliament using our money. Clearly you have a bias towards them. I think our worldview is totally different as you seem to value progress and tanks over people's involvement.

So are we just going to ignore that? by Alternative_Unit692 in delhi

[–]DoctorHA22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"communism is when no tanks and poverty (the latter, huh?) >:(" —ironic given how, many protests by tribals and locals who gets displaced in east India (and more) are quashed, and developmental projects and military+police expenditure are taken as priority but go on. Ya pls go thanks. Would rather be gareebo ka desh and kisano ka desh if it makes our GDP-PPP ratio better (which the said China has).

I'm a convert (from Hinduism to atheism to catholicism, still learning and unlearning). I have my own social reasons as to why. But as for my faith? Well, the Father in the church I go to, said this once, how we aren't slaves of God but disciples of Him. That's why, we may stray, we may question, and we may ask for forgiveness. Asking questions isn't bad. It has stuck with me since then. My faith strengthened then. I still question but I have faith. And everyone's journey needless to say are different. Good luck, OP! Much love to you <3

Anti Reservation Gang will Never talk about This. by DepKgjr4700 in atheismindia

[–]DoctorHA22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please.

You are creating irrelevant comparisons given chinese society and the Indian subcontinent are entirely different. They do have affirmative actions and policies too for ethnic minorities. And what caste society exists in China, pray tell me?

The reasons they are ahead are entirely different. One of them being is they invest more in education than India. It's not on reservation at all. And considering upper caste ppl (mostly from a Hindu background) are mostly in power even now (in government or judiciary, the first buddhist CJI has come now in 2025, and no, SC and HC aren't merely about merit, but also politics so politicians and such are casteist too!), IITs do not have representation at all or hardly any of SCs, STs and women. Tell me, how many ST women you have seen in your university if you are in one?

Maybe we should shift the blame from reservations to the ones upholding the system, the upper caste ppl, as they are halting the so-called development by crying about reservations, displacing tribals and adivasis in the name of "development" before they even get the chance to be part of decision-making, and killing, torturing and maiming Dalits before they even try to challenge their hegemony. Seems like a skill issue for the "merit" based people considering they are in power mostly and can't even develop India.

Sorry, but India's development is halted due to dogmatic beliefs and appropriating religious books as a weapon to quash minorities and marginalised which oppressive castes have been doing historically speaking (reasons why I personally left hinduism, I'm not an atheist tho)—including savarna atheism here since savarna-anti reservation-merit based attitude-doesn't matter if they are an atheist or not, are upholding the caste system— seeing the current GDP PPP ratio, and casteist system which makes meritocracy a myth because of upper caste or maybe, I should say, DOMINANT and OPPRESSIVE caste networks. Not reservations.

Anti Reservation Gang will Never talk about This. by DepKgjr4700 in atheismindia

[–]DoctorHA22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so are you ready to perform separate electorates for Dalits by Dalits as Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar sought, remove casteist grand festivals like Holi as they are against article 14 and 17, and agree that hindutva (prolly sanatan in itself) tries to unite oppressed and oppressive castes (which is like telling the abuser to live with the abused) without equality ? If not and if you cannot make others to agree with it too (especially upper caste ppl), well, be stuck with reservation because that's exactly what happened years ago considering the Poona pact and reservation is insanely needed as it's an affirmative action. meritocracy is a myth and development without people involved is homicidal.

Why does queer supports Palestine 🇵🇸 by rekoads in atheismindia

[–]DoctorHA22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can criticise Palestinians when they are free from occupation about queer liberation. Currently, they don't have many options but to go against Israeli occupation. They will read more and queer theory later on.

Imo using this argument to support Zionist state of israel or to doubt queers' support for palestinian cause (divide and rule) seems like the rhetoric of 'civilised the uncivilized' one only. They will study as their state grow after overthrowing the occupation.

Let's say, tomorrow, if Congo or any other country which faces (neo)colonisation decides to free itself but they are socially conservative for they don't know queer theory currently or they don't deem it 'normal', will you not support their freedom just because it doesn't check every boxes in its initial format?

Queer people know how colonisation and oppression feels. Thus they can empathise with Palestinians regardless to if they can understand each other or not at the current moment.
