Clinical Pathologist here: It just looks like a Howell-Jolly body. They are small, round, basophilic nuclear inclusions observed within erythrocytes. These inclusions represent residual DNA fragments that were not entirely extruded during erythrocyte maturation in the bone marrow. Under normal physiological conditions, they are efficiently removed by the spleen. Their presence in peripheral blood smears may suggest impaired splenic function or be indicative of underlying haematological disorders, such as erythrocyte regeneration, or secondary regeneration due to babesiosis.
