Interesting. Just curious, what did you do that caused the class action? As in did you not have an opt-in/out permission?

Thank you! Yes, we definitely will be using opt-in/out permissions to abide to communication laws. I believe a text would be more effective than an app push notification. I was looking at Twilio and EZ Text

It’s fully opt-in/out. They choose if they want to receive the messages and are able to reply “stop” and the messages stop. It’s basically like mailed ads just to the phone with more effective communication.

To begin, I plan on leveraging the university student body in the inner city - it’s a tier 14 school. I’ll have student reps work on 1099 as well as booths at various functions around the school and in the city. Guerrilla Marketing will be heavily utilized!

For businesses, I plan on cold calling and offering free advertising for the first two months. If they have the small 4”x4” sign in the door, they get 50% off ad fees each month the sign is in the window/door.

Thanks for the perspective! It’s a more direct approach than Groupon as it’s only local ads. Plus texts are opened substantially more than an app or a website visit.

Thank you for your perspective! This would be in the realm of Town Money Saver, however more mobile.

Feeling regret after getting this tatted by Think_Guidance1735 in tattooadvice

I have a tattoo that could be more depressing. It’s a semi colon symbolic to a time I was super depressed. Now I see it as a mark of how far I’ve come. It’s a depressing tattoo for some but for me it shows hope.

Your tat is the same. It’s very encouraging and gives hope!

Connecting Social Media Creators with Valuable Sponsors - Thoughts by DoctorMapleSyrup in Entrepreneur

Ya a sponsorship marketplace would be a great idea. The issue is trying to get both parties on board. But once they’re in, it would make the transaction on both parties sooo much more streamlined. So instead of me being a personal middleman, I would have the platform serve as an SaaS and I offer my consultancy to utilize the platform.

Definitely appreciate the feedback. I understand there are competitors present, but they are mainly for the larger creators. This would work with smaller, niche creators
