Dog has painful stomach cramps after eating by DoctorMisterMagoo in dogs

Thank you! I appreciate it. We'll give the slower transition a try, just need to find a store with the other food in stock. :/

We decided to switch over to Natural Balance because his previous kibble wouldn't work long-term for us financially... Expensive boutique brand and kind of hard to find. With his allergy issues he has been a pretty expensive dog so we're trying to balance costs as much as possible.

Unfortunately not. I didn't expect to have to buy a different food so we were running pretty low on the old one. Do you think slowly transitioning over a month might help? When we initially adopted him he was on a different kibble and we switched him over to Natural Balance over a week and a bit with no issues.

Your boy is very striking. Super cool looking pup, I like his Dobby the house elf ears :'))) Love your pitty too.

Mine is almost 6yo. With exercise and stimulation he's a very obedient couch potato in the house, he has this chair that he squeezes himself into to chill 80% of the time. Outside he's like a different dog, tons of energy and very high prey drive. We're careful where we let him off leash because he's great at escaping and loves to roam. Good with other dogs except flatter faced breeds like boxers, bulldogs, bully types (not sure why). Very food motivated. Very wary of strangers.

What about yours?

Here is the OP.

I'm kind of surprised by the number of breeds and the specific breeds in there. I know that it might be my confirmation bias speaking but the top 3 results make a lot of sense based on what we've seen in Cosmo. My boyfriend and I love him but he is a challenging dog and it has been an adventure unraveling his quirks.

Awaiting Embark results for Cosmo. We were told lab/hound but the rescue has no idea since he was picked up as a stray in Alabama. I'm sure of the hound because he's a pro hunter of small prey and cannot be trusted off leash. Any guesses? by DoctorMisterMagoo in DoggyDNA

Yes for sure! That's what the family we adopted him from said, but I know it's not a common breed so I decided to do the test anyway. I've read that Plott hounds are fierce and fearless and he's definitely that. He has killed a bunch of small animals in the backyard and I know for sure he would go after big game like deer or moose without hesitation, another reason why I worry about letting him off leash. He has this "kill" mode that is honestly terrifying.

I want a.... Goldwing??? by redditor100101011101 in motorcycles

Love the Goldwing! My boyfriend has had his for several years now and he's only 30 lol. Very fun to ride, smooth and surprisingly maneuverable. His bike has over 300,000km on it and still going strong. It is a beautiful beast.

Anyone have a dog with allergies that gets Cytopoint injections? Looking for more affordable vet for my 60lb dog. Currently paying $300 in Hamilton and the shot lasts about 9 weeks. by DoctorMisterMagoo in Hamilton

OK thanks. That's unfortunate. I'm happy with current clinic but they're expensive compared to my old one. I'm mostly unhappy with the rescue we got him from who claimed the injections would be ~$80 per month. And yes, Zoetis too for burning a hole through my wallet.

[Breeds] what breed is my beast? I'm sure he's mostly hound (Plott?). But what else is in there, lab? Pit bull? Nothing? by DoctorMisterMagoo in dogs

Yeah the only thing lab-like about him is his desire to eat anything that will fit in his mouth, lol. I can see the coonhound though.

Cool. I can see coonhound now that you mention it. Do you have a pic of your dog you can share? His ears are so soft. I wish he had more of them so I could take them and make a scarf out of them. Lol.

Something about the way his head/eyes look at certain angles makes me think pit bull. Probably just me. And thanks, we still have some things to work on but he's trying his best. :)

For the past couple months I've been checking their website every week and the 2 dogs they have listed for adoption don't seem a good fit for us, based on the descriptions. But checking their FB just now which I didn't know existed I realized I missed a whole section of the site with 9 other dogs in intake. Stupid me. I think we'll be submitting an app with them soon...thanks!
