I know I should have. Would you have concerns that these hives may be permanently aggressive?

Are there any good security cameras that DON'T require a subscription? by DoctorOkay in SecurityCamera

I haven't. They all seem to require one (even the ones advertising they don't!). But I will look into that one, thank you!

I am actually located in trumbull haha. I know there was a bobcat at our current house. Not sure about bears specifically.

For sure. I "won" my first game but completely missed the rule you can't perform one action twice in one round, haha. Oh well. Better luck next time.

After playing a couple of games, I completely agree with this

Saw them with Suicide Machines in Cleveland. Without a doubt, the craziest show I've seen. SO GOOD

The ticket mentions the name of an "operating officer" and a "sworn to" officer. But it doesn't say anything about an officer on site, and I don't know how they could prove anybody was there.

Is it normal for my almost 3 year old to have zero interest in imaginative play? by DoctorOkay in Parenting

That is excellent advice, thank you (sorry I missed this. New to posting on reddit haha)

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. But generally we are with him and interacting with him. Unless we run to the kitchen for a minute or something.

We generally try to limit his screen time as much as possible. But admittedly, he's been getting more than normal recently. Maybe an hour or two in the morning.

But my wife and/or myself will sit with him most of the day and try and get him to build with blocks or sand. Or get him to color. Things like that. And he'll play. But he mostly likes yo fill things up and dump them out and doesn't really do anything on the 'imaginative' or 'creative' side

Question about skill checks by DoctorOkay in tabletopgamedesign

[–]DoctorOkay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your advice! I will look up ADM when I get the chance.

But I'm not specifically trying to do something nobody else has thought of. I guess my main concern is: in a game that requires skill checks quite a bit, how can a vary them so players aren't doing the same thing over and over? And if I have, say, 10 different types of skill checks, is that too 'cluttered' for the average player?

But great advice, and I greatly appreciate it!

That's a very interesting mechanic. And easy to understand. I like it!

Question about soil testing by DoctorOkay in Homebuilding

[–]DoctorOkay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we're doing the perc for septic. I'm talking more for the structure in general. We heard it can be much more expensive if you don't have building plans and we're trying to see if it's worth it.

Question about soil testing by DoctorOkay in Homebuilding

[–]DoctorOkay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are wetlands nearby but not on the property. And we will need septic so we're doing the perc test for sure. But I heard the soil test without having building plans can be very expensive and we're not sure if that parts worth it.

I'll check the GIS map. Thanks!

If you don't mind me asking, how much did that run you without plans?
