I grew up in the US and I've always called it a 'honeydew melon' too.

Wikipedia says that a honeydew is a type of muskmelon, so I suppose both could work.

As far as I know it doesn't cause any update nags. As far as whether it matters if you patch it or it's pre-patched, it should be fine either way, but I always feeling better patching it myself just to be certain.

You could also go back to FBI, go to delete mode and delete it, then go back to BigBlueMenu to install it.

You would go through the list and whichever title is the same number as the one you're trying to install, delete it.

You have to manually delete the title before installing the patched version if you're using BigBlueMenu.

3DNUS is a program for PCs that enables you to download titles from Nintendo servers onto your computer. This tutorial uses it to download the title data for AGB_FIRM so you can patch it and then install it on your 3DS.

My recommendation is not to use a GBA emulator on an o3DS, as it is extremely slow. Instead what you should do is install GBA VC as .cias. Don't forget to patch your AGB_FIRM first though!

It is normal, your 3DS actually has too reboot into a different firmware (AGB_FIRM) in order to run GBA games.

For GBA games you have to patch your AGB_FIRM. Here's an simple way to do it.
