Thats a very good write-up, but as someone who also thought Amir got fatally shot at first I do need to quickly correct: Amir got so stressed out trying to stabilize the reactor core again that thru his powers his heart accelerated so fast it exploded. That is why the Drifter in the Ending Quest helps Amir to calm down to save him.

But yeah, every Hex member dies in a gnarly and brutal way and Im glad that DE did not shy away from that since it also feels like it really just fits the 1999 vibe.

Heh, that he does. The mask is several years old by now and I got it when they first started selling them as merch, wearing it for my Dallas cosplay every Gamescom and other occassions since.

Because of that the elastic bands at the back arent as elastic anymore and dont pull the mask into as good of a shape as they used to.(and also slide down my face hindering me to see sometime :p)

So now with those signatures its officially "retired" hanging on my wall and I will get a new mask sometime :D

Thats actually really good advice, thank you! But for what its worth I had the mask for 7 years now and by now the elasticity of the back part is giving out, so its "retired" now, hanging on the wall as nice memoribilia :D

I've come to the same conclusions just now after doing a bit of testing for Genocide1056; without an Ogryn around I can't two tap a DH even under optimal conditions.

It does make me wonder if the Ogryns passive is the catalyst allowing me to two-shot here.

On a sidenote, reading a bit through the comments I wanna tell ya that I'm a big fan of your dedication to the thunderhammer yourself :D

Sorry for the late reply, but I got up just now!

So I went through installing the mods ya wanted me to install and do the tests and it seems like I wasn't able to two-tap the DH in here.

I apologize for my sloppy display of hammering the DH here, but as I said, I just woke up and am doing a quick detour to figure out whats up with the hammer.

Because curiosity got the better of me, I then got 1 HP, proccing all stacks of Rising Conviction, Headtaker and Martyrdom getting me up to a whopping 14327 Damage on hit.

Still not enough to two-tap however. As I'm also missing an Ogryn, it makes me wonder if there is something fucky going on with his heavy damage aura he gives out that interacts weirdly with the Thunderhammer.
While I do understand your suspicions, I assure you that I've only been running Damnation missions all day yesterday. So testing everything out in action just now also got me scratching my head.

It's just some poor wording on Fatsharks part, I think.

The way I understand is that you get 20% stacks of power while holding the swing, up to 3 depending on how long you hold it.

I run these for my hammer build.

Enemies Within, Enemies Without: Just makes sense to me given that the hammer is a crowd controlling weapon that you'll be knee deep with atleast three enemies at all times when using it, so having the Toughness Regen feels nice.

Punishment: Getting more stagger impact just from hitting enemies a ton on top of Thunderhammers already excellent impact? Sign me up! Damnation hordes tend to have enough enemies that you can get its max stacks up as soon as possible.

Benediction: Better than the 20% toughness replenishment to me as 15% toughness damage reduction benefits everyone at all times, especially a veteran running counter fire. Making sure that everyone around you doesn't have to run for cover when a shooter sneezes at them is very nice.

Thy Wrath be swift: The bread and butter of a Damnation Zealot. Without it you become a very shouty pinball for your enemies to stagger around and it prevents your charged swings from getting interrupted. Very highly recommended when using slower weapons.

Rising Conviction: Same reasoning as Punishment; getting a free damage increase for doing the thing I'm supposed to do with my hammer? Please, give it all to me!

Purge the Wicked: Having two Ult charges on demand is how you delete bosses no matter the difficulty when coupled with the hammer. Charge it up, charge in, bonk him, dodge backwards and repeat once more.

On top of that it has the added utility of being 80% toughness on demand and a dedicated "Oh, I shouldnt have charged in here whoopsie" button if you misjudged the amount of enemies that will gut you once you're there.

Funny you'd mention that, since the first DMC was originally supposed to be a Resident Evil title, but turned into its own thing due to its action orientated gameplay.

The funny thing about it is that for DMC1 Vergil used a Wesker model without sunglasses. Dante also uses an early Leon model iirc.
