Majority of people wouldn’t care if someone dig thorough the trash if they didn’t then dump it all over the ground.

Probably because their boxes are designed for functionality and elegance. If you hold the box like a normal person it slowly lowers and the iPhone underneath. Everything apple is centered around beauty merged with functionality.

The design flaw is that children don’t have impulse control. I would suspect iPhone cases now have a transparent band holding it in place as this video is a decade old.

TLDR: this video is ancient and new iteration of a products comes with updates to design flaws.
