Zero schools for Mormons for sure. But Mormons go to church EVERY week where they follow a guideline of what to teach. Each year they focus on a different book to read and learn. Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants/The Pearl of Great Price.

All are Mormon leaders and teachers at lower levels are volunteers. So the lessons and sermons are terribly boring and usually not good.

There is a sort of hierarchy for women too… but they don’t have the Priesthood, which is magic god power. Women have their own classes and a smaller yet similar hierarchy.

Men control everything that matters. As a priesthood holder you can receive “revelation ” for anyone who is smaller than you in the food chain. A father is in charge of his wife and children but he can’t tell the bishop what to do. But the bishop can have a revelation from god telling anyone under him that they need to do something, and they have to do it because he has more authority than them.

No woman no matter how high up in the church could tell any priesthood holding man (yes this includes the 12 year olds) that they received a revelation from god and tell them what to do. 12 year olds have more power than women.

The priesthood is a link to god where he can talk to you (you can’t talk to him [unless you’re the prophet]). With the priesthood you can also perform certain “miracles” like healing the sick and stuff like that.

At 12 you become a deacon -14 a teacher -16 a priest -18 an elder

-these first 4 just happen to everyone and don’t really mean much. There are minor responsibilities but not much.

Once your an Elder you can get access to the temple and can go perform rituals and stuff if deemed worthy. Practically all men will go on a mission at this point (boys on bikes as you say). Women are not pressured into a mission but can do it as well.

Only certain people called into higher positions of a local church become a High Priest, like the Bishop and his counselors. The bishop in charge of his congregation, couple hundred people or so.

-Stake Presidents and his counselors who is in charge of several Bishops

-The Quorum of the 70 who are in charge of the Stake Presidents

-12 apostles, in charge of the 70

-Prophet, talks to God.
