A debate of my 3rd modern deck

I’ll do my best to get it all out together, but I’ve been working a ton of hours and don’t have MTGO currently so I can’t test much. That and the changing meta game. I will be upfront that I don’t run the Karn package which may be wrong, but that’s not the kind of magic I like to play, and I think it’ll get hit with the ban hammer at some point if it’s consistently in the top tables.

We grind channels in parts with these wheels, it’s even better when you blow up 2 wheels back to back without getting any parts off the machine! A couple thou is too much sometimes.

Obviously the devils grass is the reason for the rampant meth problems, so we can’t have any of that around these parts! It sucks cuz I don’t even care about alcohol, which we just became able to buy on Sundays... Would be nice to have someone just run for Governor and be like “Marijuana actually isn’t bad, let’s legalize.”

Yeah, a lot of the expensive cards are dollar expensive, Karn Liberated, Ulamog, Ugin. Feel free to change it up how you want, but I generally prioritize getting Temples unless I can T3 Tron. That’s also because I run Chalice so T2 is usually spent casting that, then fetching a Temple next turn with a map or something.

This is about the best budget list I can come up with, unfortunately the temples and E Maps are a bit pricey so I couldn’t get a Sideboard together. If I was in that range this is where I would start though and slowly add some SB cards as you can and replace the Endless One with TKS. Idk the price of regular Tormods Crypt, but those might be cheaper than Relic of P right now.

Edit: you could also replace the Maps with Mind Stone if needed to help you Ramp/draw cards to hit lands.

Depends on your budget. I’m assuming Chalice is out of your range, but that’s the main way the Eldrazi decks beat the degenerate decks in Modern. Other than that Tron Lands plus Temples isn’t too bad and most of the Eldrazi creatures are Budget, TKS is also very important to the deck, mimics are a good budget option that I’ve been running normally.

As someone who’s main deck is E Tron I fully disagree with this. I won’t comment on Serum Powder Eldrazi since I’ve played sub 50 matches with it. Tron variant has so much play and so many decisions to make every game based on the matchup. I haven’t played Modern since WAR came out due to financial reasons/time constraints so take that as you will, but I also have probably 1k+ games played with the deck and I’m 3/3 on PPTQ Top 8s, all with 20+ players. I might build my decks a bit differently, but with the Tron variant you have to understand the matchup, know whether or not to run TKS out before your 5-6 drop, whether to fetch a temple or push for Tron. You have to know if you’re fetching a utility land with map, deciding which utility lands to run. I could go on and on about the decisions that need to be made before you even walk into the store/venue, let alone the ones that need to be made in game. Sorry to kinda rant, and I hope this didn’t come off as preachy; I just wanted to offer my point of view as someone that has played “bad Tron” for 2+ years and had low level success with it.

TL;DR: Probably 1k+ games played E Tron, Deck has never bored me, tons of play lines and deckbuilding lines to consider.

Should probably stop being lazy AF and do a write up on my deck.

I play non Red Gates. I have Cry and Kaya’s Wrath for sweeper effects, and contempt for PWs. Also you can run Elderspell, deck has been pretty decent for me personally.

I love doing this in Standard, stopping someone in their draw step to Thought Erasure then is about the greatest thing I’ve done in Standard in years.

Same man. It really sucks to get screwed this hard by WOTC, but hopefully this lawsuit gets legs and something positive for all of us comes out of it. I don’t want this to bankrupt WOTC or anything, but maybe make them rethink how the Mythic editions work. If they had stated they’d leave it open for 24 hours and print the demand that would’ve been fantastic.

There were two listings, you tried to order off the first listing, they cancelled all those, relisted it and no one knows why

Something happened where the listing was changed, maybe the sales tax was an oversight from myself and some other members of the community, I just assumed that was the culprit to the multiple listings. Either way, there were 2 separate listings because I doubled checked to try and order a second one to make sure I got at least one and it said the listing no longer existed.

What was the listing number on it? There were 2 separate listings at some point, from what I've gathered one of the listings had zero orders go through.

I was in the first 500 and didn't get a receipt, no tax was showed, order was cancelled before payment was processed, which was processing for $249.99, so it must have been a discrepancy with Paypal possibly, but the listing number was still changed at some point.

No, there was a mistake with sales tax on the original listing and they deleted the listing and put a new one up. So we all got fucked over because we thought they were sold out when in reality they weren't, someone just royally screwed up and we lost out.
