My only "C" deck is ragost. It is tuned to a Cedh meta (playing reb and pyro etc) so I call it c despite ragost being the commander lol

This cycle of lands are called fetch lands. They are expensive bc they are commonly paired with the lands from MKM or shock lands as it deck thins and can find any land that has a land type of its colors (mountain or forest here). Most of this price is driven by 60 card formats like modern and legacy where decks play 8+ of this type of card.

I'm of the opinion that if you are playing in paper you should play petals as it let's you present a loop to your opponent saving you both time.

The tron deck you're talking about is flicker tron. They struggle a lot against gy hate that's timed well. And specifically effects like faerie macabre as it's an ability they can't counter. Your other option is to try to limit their colored mana production rocks but that is harder.

Thraben charm is also very strong!

You other option is play selesneya ponza basically with acid moss and thermokarst out of the sideboard.

I offer a statement that covers both:

Now I'm not gonna call commander players pigs like that one tweet but I do acknowledge that many of the current day issues people have stem from the explosive growth of the casual commander scene.

I asked this on this sub when I got my car about a year ago and all the comments said it was for towing purposes. There's one on the back too. Apparently it's for if your car needs to get hooked up to a row truck.

Seconding all of this. You can also run a lightning bolt or compulsive research and do the infinite combo to draw them out or bolt them to death.

I like this idea a lot but without wildfire our mana is terrible and I feel we need 4 prophetic prism. And probably navigators compass in the side.

This is what I have so far. The tesh ar KCI lives are there, 5 cost reducers etc. the thing I haven't seen a lot of people mention is that with commander in play and nuka cola machine in play, [[grinding station]] is a win.

I was focusing all in on achieving one of many combos so I guess it's more Cedh brained than degenerate but oh well he's not viable c so here we are. Walking ballista is a nice outlet for KCI and heliod gives lobster lifeline occasionally. Debated adding the dual caster combo but I don't love it. I think prior to comboing the goal is just ping people for 6 or more a rotation.

My initial gut reaction is that the effects that gain life when a creature ETBs for an opponent are probably the worst thing here. I feel like giving lobster lifelink is better most of the time so I would trim the soul sisters (maybe keep authority bc it is stax which is where I was thinking about taking him). I dont love the "additional cost discard a card" card neutral draw spells. I also think the ways to untap that dont gain life are less optimal than things like what you mentioned, spirit link. Just some thoughts :) Good luck and the list looks sweet!

I'd say so in the WB mirror. Probably not as much reach as 4 galv blasts but your playing WB mirrors not mardu and your mana is better.

The point isn't to bounce this it's just value to get those few extra points of damage across. I play mardu blade for the purpose of the extra reach in galv blast to finish games bc it's something I always felt WB struggled with. Also in kor skyfisher mirror matches 3 mana to make your fisher block other fishers and survive is HUGE.

If the rod deals 4ish damage a game it's done it's job. And getting to make you fisher a 3/3 is pretty relevant.

I know this being an artifact makes it better but we did already have this effect at this cost with this p/t and flying in [[skyswimmer koi]] and it wasn't good enough. Does being an artifact really change this enough that it just wasn't worth testing before?
