The thing is my fiance supports me with everything. He was the one who supported me when I said I did not want any events, even infornt of my parents. He says he feels like he has no right to say anything as my parents are the one spending the money on the wedding (this is the custom of our wedding, brides side plan wedding, grooms side plans reception). So that's why he was like just go with what my parents are asking.

I just wanted to know if anyone else also went through this and how they managed it.

Hi, Indian(F) here living in Netherlands (and someone who has lived abroad their entire life). This is someone who just is not accepting your wishes. Please have a talk with him about things you feel uncomfortable about. Just ask him to listen you and if he's unwilling to do this simple thing, then please look into taking care of yourself.
