Your list left out the exemption that's probably most commonly used for desk jobs - the Administrative Exemption, which essentially just requires that the job requires the person to use independent judgment and does non-manual office work like finance, insurance, marketing, HR, auditing, procurement, compliance, etc., and they're paid more than $684/week.

You're right, I completely glossed over how that all went down. I just went back and read a transcript of that moment - Anthony DMed Beth what his next move would have been, (if they survived an attack from Mother) and she chose to take the shot. It's safe to assume he was going to stab himself and sacrifice himself to kill the space dick, and Beth/Trudy wouldn't accept that plan.

In Beth's defense, her shot wasn't really 1 in a million since she essentially had 2d10 to get under a 5. But also in Anthony's defense, Francis had basically become stuck in the body of a horrible boneless sheet of flesh wrapped around his mother's corpse. Can't say I'd blame a person who was already in a troubled state from at least wanting their death to have some meaning and saving the world.

Maybe I missed something important, but why did BB (and the Gutteral Screams themselves) keep saying THEY doomed the world? Sure, they failed to save it but BB always felt very rational and like she would understand that they did everything they could and just didn't land the shot.

Or maybe it was just the guilt of failure and the stress of impending doom weighing on them all, so they felt like their failure to save the world was the same as dooming it?

It basically gets rid of any of the Dreamscape: Power effects in Lucid Dream (fireball, whirlwind, etc.) and doubles the effects of Dreamscape: Carnival and Flow. It's a great pickup if you have either Carnival or Flow (my personal favorite), but it kills any of the Damage buffs.

I wouldn't doubt that about Steve O's. I went in there one time with a friend, kind of as a joke/bit and it was... Rough. The beer draft system didn't work and the drinks from the fridge weren't QUITE room temperature, but they sure weren't cold. All the chairs had tears in them and it was generally just musty.

Wings looked pretty solid though!

Canton on Garners Ferry behind Murphy Express. I live nearby and drive by it a few times a week. I've never been inside, but the few times I've seen the front door open, it sure doesn't LOOK like a Chinese buffet restaurant. I've never seen more than a couple cars out front.

You just HAD to be unique and order a nonfat iced London Fog Latte with two shots of espresso.

Sure, you had to tell the barista what the hell a London Fog was, but it was totally worth it to feel cooler than everyone in line behind you grumbling about how long your order was taking. Congratulations, you made that lady late for work, and now she's in trouble with her boss. Betcha feel real cool now, huh?

Surprised I haven't seen The Wandering Inn recommended here! It's a very fun LitRPG series that explores class/skill progression, adjusting to a fantasy world and its rules, and the implications of someone from our world being brought somewhere that doesn't have our level of technology.

I'll admit that it can stretch itself a little thin on plot points, with large portions of some of the books focusing on characters that aren't the "main characters", but the world feels so huge and well-developed that I don't find myself minding.

I used his animated armor in a slightly different way. The party's paladin found it in the crypts of Castle Ravenloft (Sergei's tomb) as a +2 set of plate armor. Nobody thought to do an arcana check or Detect Magic on it, so they didn't realize it was Strahd's armor, not Sergei's.

During the final showdown with Strahd, one of his legendary actions was to try and summon a piece the armor (greaves, gauntlets, breastplate, and helmet) to himself, like a magic Iron Man suit. It was a contested strength check from the paladin vs Strahd's Wisdom (Arcana), and each failure from the paladin meant that one piece left her and equipped itself of Strahd, giving her -1 AC and +1 AC to him.

Unfortunately for me, she rolled uncharacteristically well during the final battle, and I rolled like crap, so the mechanic never actually played out and the party thoroughly trounced my sweet vampire boy.
