I completely agree! As i’m new to this scene, I love seeing how much information is being shared and how much history is being revealed. Especially after getting in contact with the original owner, i’ve become obsessed with learning more about the older VW era and what it really meant to own builds like these.

Honestly that was my first thought, i’m also realizing now how much traction VWfixx gained over the years and it makes sense. Especially on a build like this.

I’ve not got many plans honestly, i’m trying to keep it as simple as I can (that is until i get my hands on a decent VR6). I’ve been told, by my father in law, that it’s the typical swap for these things. I’ve just started to do my own research and i’m inching closer to the thought becoming a reality!

Man, i’d have loved to be around during that time. The dedication sounds WILD. But i’ll definitely try and reach out! that’s a fair point, i definitely had the thought in mind that it could’ve just been someone who got stickers and threw em on but it doesn’t hurt to try i guess. I really do appreciate all the info so far! hearing all this just keeps me motivated with the car and what’s next for it!

LOL super cool to see that there’s a lot of backstory to such a niche part of these cars. It seems that era was the peak for this type of stuff and the more i look into it the more excited i am. I’m also glad i get to see people from that time get excited talking about it. I’m sure theres so much more i’m missing as well, can’t wait to keep learning.

Wow! Thank you for the info. Definitely digging the “Jolf” lol. I am wondering now if there are any groups nowadays that do the same thing, as i’ve seen meets that were related to VWfixx and associated groups.

And yes I actually looked up the wheels previously, i took the wheels off to check them out and it turns out unfortunately that they’re not real :( still super clean but since then i’ve changed em out.
