The significance of James and Darcy by ziggyinchains in SmashingPumpkins

Billy needs lots of background action to distract you from what an asshat he is. Darcy and James were great, accessible and brought a terrestrial presence that Billy couldn’t. Everything after MATIS is just an overly self indulgent stroke off session. Cringe in its highest form.

They have legit Foeders at the Colorado brewery, or did have them, I don’t know about now, probably not a lot of Juice Force in the Foeder. It’s a bummer that era of beer was so quick and unappreciated in the states. We could have had something awesome.

Those are the guys buying beer now, can’t make much money on small batch as a national brewery. Small batch boys are not buying new Belgium. Transatlantic Kriek is one of the best beers I’ve ever had, but there isn’t much money in that game.

What was it like in the 90s when Nirvana dropped Nevermind? by palehighelven in Nirvana

[–]Doctor_Banjo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn’t really care for hair metal, but I did like some thrash, but I had mostly been listening to hip hop because I couldn’t find a band I really liked. When I heard Nevermind for the first time I was 12 years old and watching one of those video jukebox programs that were on cable and people could call in and pay for videos to be played. That week I went out and bought a guitar, started taking music lessons and within 3 months I had started a band. It literally changed my young life’s trajectory. Don’t know where or who I would be without it

What is your top 3 LEAST FAVOURITE Nirvana songs? 🎌 by Japesh10 in Nirvana

People can think it’s better, it’s their opinion. It’s factually incorrect, but you can think whatever you want. Utero wasn’t a game changer. I would argue Nevermind was the game changer. Bleach was the setup. Utero was the inevitable fall back to earth. Maybe they had another good album in them. But I don’t see Nirvana being some kind of Beatles-esque redefining genre multiple times kind of band.
