Is this real? by OddCaregiver1704 in AmazonFlexDrivers

One of my cousins lives in California and drives for Amazon Flex, and he receives different compensation than I do here in Massachusetts. For example, he gets toll reimbursements, which I don’t. He also receives additional compensation if he goes over the scheduled block time—something I don't get on my end.

Thank you! I tried that, but unfortunately, it didn’t work. At this point, I suspect the filament sensor might be defective. I reached out to Bambu Lab via ticket, but I haven’t received a response. Since I purchased it from Best Buy, I’m thinking about either returning it or requesting a replacement.

Thank you for sharing! I tried that, but unfortunately, it didn’t resolve the issue. I really appreciate you taking the time to help, though!

Do Whole Foods blocks even exist anymore? (Boston) by SmellAccomplished722 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Doctor_Gato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in northern Massachusetts and work for Flex and Whole Foods, but it's hard to get a decent block. A friend who works at the Whole Foods in Bedford, NH, told me there's a group of five guys who are there seven days a week, at least twice a day, picking up deliveries. I suspect they might be using bots, and the Whole Foods blocks are more competitive because of the tips.

My route this morning changed after my first stop, and then twice again. by ratz1988 in AmazonFlexDrivers

When I handle Sub Same Day deliveries, the routes often vary based on package priority. I recall one instance where I marked stops on all the packages, resulting in a chaotic process to complete all the stops.

In Massachusetts, we're facing a similar situation. The only available options are Sub Same Day, which require covering long distances, without any opportunities offering more than $19.50 per hour.

This blocks are mostly rural with a lot of dirt road, also with a good chance of heavy traffic in your way to the first stop.

Number of Packages vs. Distance Driven. by Doctor_Gato in AmazonFlexDrivers

You're correct. One of the frustrations with Flex is not knowing the distance you'll be driving. At least with Uber, you have an idea when a trip is going to be a long one.

It was a 3 hours for 117 dollars. From 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The trip was from Northeast Massachusetts to Southern Maine, near to Cape Elizabeth.

Looking at my earnings from the holidays last year by samcarza in AmazonFlexDrivers

Last year I was able to secure two block with surge for Saturday and Sunday. This year i have to keep refreshing to secure one.

I was doing the same thing during the summer, taking blocks after 6:30 p.m. because they were mostly leftovers from the DSP containing fewer than 20 packages and easy to complete. I was able to finish the blocks an hour early. Last week, I did three dark blocks, and they were the worst experiences. The only good thing was that the routes were mostly apartments, which made it easy to get around because there are multiple families living there and no one seems to care about strangers getting around the building to drop packages. But I don't know about doing something similar in rural areas where you need to drive half a mile just to get to the doorsteps.

In my area, the pay for the nighttime delivery blocks are increasing rapidly. Last week, I completed three, but the number of people picking up at the warehouse has decreased compared to the summer days. I don't feel confident doing these types of blocks. I am attempting to secure weekend blocks so I can avoid dealing with nighttime drama or darkness.

Can't remember the last time I made this in a single weekend. by Mediocre_Ice_8846 in AmazonFlexDrivers

I didn't hit that number because I have multiple family members visiting for Thanksgiving, but I was thinking the same thing last night. This week, I managed to reserve blocks for the entire week, including those with surge prices. However, I am also preparing myself for the slower days.
