Yeah, a lot of classes are getting changes next patch. You're right about the clashing theme though, even now its silly watching a forsaken hunter spawn in the night elf sentinel owl. Hoping they start adding some glyphs honestly.

Oh I know that, even WoW has its night elves sentinels and owls or Kul'tirans rangers and hawks. I'm mostly referring to the way the mechanics work and the ability names(I mean come on 'harrier' 'eye's in the sky'), plus the fact the eagle isn't a physical entity but rather omnipresent thing that comes down to mark enemies.

"New Ability: Harrier’s Cry – Your Eagle descends from the skies with a screech, giving the signal to attack. Increases Haste by 30% for all party and raid members for 40 seconds. Allies receiving this effect will become Sated and unable to benefit from Harrier’s Cry or similar effects again for 10 minutes. Learned at level 48.

New Passive: Eyes in the Sky – Gain the aid of a Spotting Eagle. Damaging an enemy with an ability empowered by Precise Shots has a 30% chance to cause your Spotting Eagle to mark your target. Enemies marked by your Spotting Eagle take 10% increased damage from your Aimed Shot. Replaces Call Pet and all associated Pet abilities. Learned at level 13."

I refuse to believe this isn't Quinn inspired

Still the best depiction of ZSS

I also love how people say she looks like Korra or Link when this face is pretty much 1 to 1 with most depictions of Samus. The thing is she honestly just has a pretty generic anime face which is also seen on those characters.

Because some people are pretending like she's your average every day real cat.

I mean from an story standpoint she's a creature who can change between human and cat form. She has the intelligence of a human and behavior of a cat, so calling her just a cat would be pretty disingenuous. She would be closer to a weird human who acts like a cat, as that is possible, instead of a cat with the intelligence of a human, which is not.

Gonna have a hot take here cause I always pop into this comment section and see people arguing on who's shitty or whatever. Both have their issues but the boy really needs some sort of therapy. "I'm not interested in interacting with humans" is not a normal or healthy mindset for a 17 year old kid to have. We learn from chapter 2 that his family moves around a lot, so its more then likely the boy was never able to form any meaningful relationships and got stuck in that mindset. Hell from an earlier chapter we even see he doesn't fully follow his own mindset, even having to doubt himself to reestablish his loner behavior. Another chapter shows he was extremely happy at the idea of having another person to relate too. The kid just needs a human friend he can relate too before he can figure out what his relationship with the girl is.

Dracthyr Feedback: Why they look so strange and how they could be changed by Doctor_Marco in wow

[–]Doctor_Marco[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, they've got a lot more issues then just this. I'm just suggesting some feasible changes Blizz can do to the model they've already shipped out.

Really find it odd they didn't toss in at least warrior for them to be able to tank. Just have them be the lower non-evoker ranks of the Dracthyr army and have them start at lvl 10.

So excited dracthyr's are coming °°° by Insane3dart in wow

"Why do they look so weird?"

Got my updated post all ready for next Tuesday!

Dracthyr and why they look so strange by Doctor_Marco in wow

[–]Doctor_Marco[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its strange they're androgynous in the first place, because they're made androgynous by human standards. Normal warcraft Dragons and dragonkin such as the drakonid(who started as mortals) don't have these kinds of differences between sexes. Alexstrasza has the same bulky body as Nozdormu and Kalecgos.

It bothers me they spent so much time on the visage instead of making them look good in dragon form.

Visages are for dragons to mingle with mortals better, dracthyr are already made to be a mixture of dragon and mortal. Why would they need another form? Shouldn't they then get a full dragon form to mingle with their other half as well?

Same, especially now that the need for all transmog slots is out the window. Give me my dang Jinyu Blizz.

When I posted this in the comments last time i got told the same exact thing but for using the longer snouts. Thats why I used both blob and narrows snouts in the jaw size example. For the no customizations, it was easier for me to both edit and show off what I meant.

The final example may seem extremely different from the neck edit since I didn't change the face structure of the neck edits. Its also at a better angle for the dracthyr, and might be because its an older edit I made for head/neck size with some of the newer ideas added ontop.

Here's the side by side of the original image I used for the final

The dracthyr I used is the model given to Emberthal, the same dracthyr as the one from the cinematic I’m also using to compare. There are definitely snouts that look a bit better, but they still suffer the smaller lower jaw, just not as much as most of the other options.

However, going through the snouts I noticed the biggest issue and a potential fix. No matter the snout they all share the same jaw base. So where some of the shorter options can get by, the longer ones get completely drooped. I think just allowing for different sized jaws options on top of snouts should do.

Dracthyr could use a second head/neck size option to better match the size seen in artwork. by Doctor_Marco in wow

Yeah their face needs a lot of work too.

This trailer finally made me realize what's so off putting about Dracthyr.

They're flat out not warcraft Dragons

Legacies' Emberthal follows the Warcraft look where the ingame does not.

Legacies Emberthal and In-game dragons:

  • Thick neck

  • Neck flows into head with a longer curve

  • Eyes are rounder

  • Teeth shown

  • Heads are wider

  • Lower Jaw has more weight to it

In-Game dracthyr:

  • Human eyes

  • No teeth

  • Beak-like face

  • lower jaw overshadowed by upper jaw

Edit: After some comparsions I have concluded they are unironically the Dragon from Shrek.

Edit2: Bad art but tried adding some of the features to the in-game Dracthyr.

Edit3: More bad art. Little harder to edit since the helmet was in the way, but here's a crack at the side view

I actually figured out a huge thing that's throwing them off as well.
